First, yes of course I know about Loring's Smoking From All Sides site. I've spoken with him from time to time, and in the early days sent along updates to him about new boards and such.
Anyway....
This thing with 'Natalie' is getting bizarre and confusing. I almost can't keep up logic or the arguments presented. But now, apparently, Past Tempted has jumped into the foray on a different board; an interesting development, to say the least.
Up until just a few moments ago, I had no idea where Oldie/PT lived. A few years back - when Oldie didn't realize IP's were posted and could be traced - there was that big to-do where someone noticed posts from various identities were all coming from the same IP.
Eventually, after some denial and some squirming, and faced with simply irrefutable evidence, the poster (Oldie/PT) 'came clean' with a new story about how Oldie and Past Tempted were married, and somehow didn't realize they were posting to the same board.
But now, in this latest round, Past Tempted has responded to THIS thread on a different board:
PT's post
There are at least three somewhat "unusual" aspects to this post (I'll stay away from the term "suspicious" for now):
1) The response comes from Past Tempted. I've never accused PT of anything. Up until today, I had no idea PT was involved, and was even questioning other posters if they recalled PT/Oldie's IP as being in Texas.
2) In this response, PAST TEMPTED admits to being somewhere near Dallas, just as 'Natalie' is. Again, I've never said anything about PT being in Texas - I just said that this whole string of new identities all trace back to Marble Falls
3) The response was posted to Natalie. Natalie's never even posted on that other board.
I notice the other board doesn't show IP's; for that matter, any board PT/Oldie posts to these days don't show IP's. I strongly suspect this is deliberate, and may be a good part of the reason PT didn't post the reply here.
Like I said, it just gets more and more bizarre, but why would we expect any less?
