Instead of giving myself reasons why I can't, I give myself reasons why I can. - Unknown

My grandma battled weight loss as long I as ever knew her. She was always either on a diet or off a diet. Eating salads and chicken breasts or nibbling all day from the candy dish she kept next to her recliner and remote for the tv.
When she was 83 years old, she had fallen and broken her ankle and had to go a nursing home because she couldn't get around on her own. And one of the male CNA's was getting her out of bed one morning and commented to her "Boy, you are heavier than you look". My grandma refused to eat for 3 days because she had to lose weight.
I have always been told that I am just like my grandma. But I DO NOT want to be 83 years old and still thinking/obsessing about food and weight loss. I do not want this struggle my entire life.
I wish I could find a way to not think of food unless I was just truly hungry and then think of food as fuel, not enjoyment. I know my whole struggles begins in my mind. If I could just fix that.
