The grandkids had a blast.
Getting to sleep in until almost 8:30 today. Can't tell you how good it felt. I would have already had my pedometer up to about 3,000 steps by that time any day the preceding week.
Soft tissue paper both north and south since I got home. For a week all we have been exposed to (yes, pun intended) takes a layer of skin off with every use. That alone should have amounted to at least a pound loss of weight this week.
Was able to walk over 11,000 steps every single day and that was just on my "rest" day. I put in over 50 miles of walking in 7 days. All of those days it came bad storms for at least 2 hours, 1 day the storms started at lunch and lasted all day or the walking would have been much higher. Proud of myself. Although my husband made it each day he was flagging a bit the last few hours. He had been complaining if I missed going to the gym with him, but I told him that even though I missed the gym I was exercising every day. Of course, he didn't believe it because he didn't see it. He conceded on the trip that I must have been because I was keeping up with the kids then having to drop back to stay with him when he couldn't keep up.
I didn't gain on the trip. It was so hot that I didn't really eat much on top of all that walking either so I should have lost, but I didn't. A typical day was oatmeal for breakfast then a half sandwich later on for dinner. The thing is around 2-4 PM each day I had one junk thing. I had one 3" wide cookie, an ice cream cone, a dish of ice cream, an order of fries, and a pretzel so I guess they cancel out the lighter fare.
Seeing that Shirley posted during the week! So happy to hear from her, I have missed her so. Also grateful to hear about her new condo. I hope she is very happy there.
Cindy is dow 51 pounds! Whooo-hoooo Cindy!
That Paula had such a good birthday in Maryland.
Beverly got to spend time with her son and grandkids.
Krista's knee is feeling a bit better and Ray's pain seems to be lessening a little. I hope both keep improving.
