Grateful to my DIL for insisting that my son come help out today instead of doing what they had already planned for him to do today and altering her schedule a bit so he could be here. At first, he had planned to take today off to do something on their to-do list. When he showed up he said she had insisted that they could do it later. She's a keeper.
Allergy pills. I haven't needed them in ages, but yesterday I needed them badly and they did a wonderful job.

Realizing while ago how much decaf I have been drinking lately. Somehow I have been craving warm drinks, but when I went for a refill I used the last creamer in the container, which I just replaced 10 days ago. I normally carefully portion out 40 calories worth a day, but in 10 days I have used 223 portions at 10 calories a piece. Even if I have been cooking healthier instead of ordering what they offer and have cut out having a bowl of cereal at night and lost two pounds this week, I have gotten over 2000 extra calories in a 10 day period. WoW! That could add up to a pound in two weeks. I gotta get off the coffee except for my morning cup and switch to green tea when I want a warm drink, which I like with no sugar or cream in it. It's the little things that do me in when I don't pay attention.
