Decided that even though quilting guild doesn't start until September that I am going to start a baby quilt and some pretty fall leaf pot holders for the local yearly craft fair that the guild always has a booth in. The money earned goes to support the guild all year so we don't have to pay a lot for it and provide bus transportation to those who don't want to drive to a national quilting expo, which is usually everyone since we can quilt together on the bus and have fun together. I am glad to donate a few items to it. We usually try to bring in at least $100 per member. A reason to try new patterns and play with color is no hardship.
I already knew this, but I read a sign that said that if you want to have success at anything that you have to make plans then set yourself up for it. Somehow I usually leave the setting up part out. I have some new goals, both weight and non-weight related, that I have been planning for. I spent some time last night brainstorming ways that I could set myself up for success for all of them. Starting to put some of those things in place today.
The new read-the-Bible-in-a-year devotional that I have started. Found it online. It has a new testament passage, an old testament passage, and a Psalms passage that follows a theme every day. It is not the beginning of the year, but I started on my birthday anyway and I am really enjoying it.
Melatonin. I have had a really hard time falling asleep lately. While it doesn't put me to sleep it helps my brain stop spinning so fast so I can go to sleep 2-4 hours, or more, earlier than I normally would. Since I wake up about the same time every morning no matter how little I sleep it is making a difference.
