My husband got me a beautiful hydrangea to set out along the fence where I can see it from my chair. I love how pretty they are and how low maintenance they are. He and I talked about it and I think he is going to take out all the high maintenance flowers and bushes and replace them with perennial hydrangeas. I guess I'll give the other stuff away to my son and neighbors that will love them.
My husband and daughter helping to get the house cleaned up. They had put down a new floor in the game room and my sewing room. It made a dusty mess and I have had a lot of my sewing stuff still in the formal dining room that I couldn't put back where it goes. DIL wants to have an informal get together for both families here Wednesday for youngest grandson's birthday. I was panicking because I knew that I couldn't get it all cleaned up myself. So grateful for their help.
Next to youngest grandson has hit a major growth spurt. He is 8, will be 9 in May and he was still wearing size 5-6 clothes. All the sudden in February he had to go to 8s and they are already getting too tight and too short on him. He and daughter are out today shopping for new clothes and shoes. WOW! He is about the same size as everyone else in his class suddenly. The doctor couldn't ever find anything wrong with him but he was really small and fragile looking (he is a blue-eyed blond with translucent skin so that lent a whole delicate look to him) and he hated it because he got bullied and teased unmercifully for it. He already has a whole need confidence.
My husband has been getting really good control of his sugar lately while using less and less insulin. His doctor thought that he would be using more and more insulin because he didn't think his pancreas would heal, but I am thinking that since he is having to cut back that maybe it is healing some.
