The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

Thank you for asking Paula! We just got home. Went to the lapband doctor and as soon as the nurse saw me, she could clearly see my "port" was protruding. Doc had a look under fluoroscopy (xray) and when I explained I have been in pain 6 months, he gave me a cortisone shot. He thinks it is probably inflammation and is hopeful this will help. I go back to see him in 2 months to see if worked. He said I may need additional shots. He said this is NOT common. He also said he has done surgery twice to move ports from one side of the body to the other but it did not resolve the pain.
Here's hoping I won't need to have it removed - God knows how long I'd be waiting for that as it wouldn't be considered urgent. But MY GOD, I could and did HUG the nurse when she told me that's what it was.
Also down 25 lbs since I was there in September so doc was thrilled and came right over to shake my hand in the xray room and congratulate me!
