My husband had an MRI on his bladder and kidneys. We won't get the official reading from the radiologist for several days but the doctor couldn't see any signs of the two kidney stones that they have been watching for a decade (he told me that he thought he was passing a kidney stone twice lately, but they never got painful enough for him to go to ER, I guess he was right). In 2007-2009 he had to have 18 surgeries or procedures to remove stones they think were caused by a med he was on. During one of the surgeries, they found early-stage bladder cancer. So grateful for those stones because it was a kind of cancer that is rarely found until it has spread to the liver and is usually fatal within weeks of finding it. Also grateful that the last of them are gone.
Had to have a cracked crown removed yesterday and a temp put on. So grateful that is over. I have a phobia about those drills and all the prying and sounds but am not a good candidate for the gas they use so it has been grating on my nerves a bit. Now that phase is over I am a bit calmer. Setting the permanent crown don't bother me as much, nor takes as long.
We got three big tomatoes out of the garden this morning. I had to have one on my egg sandwich for breakfast. It was soooo good, so sweet! I love tomatoes and all we have had so far has been salad size tomatoes, even though I have been noted for slicing them and putting them on a sandwich too, but these are much better for that. Also glad that Wright Brothers Bacon was on sale this week for almost half of the price I have been walking on by lately. I see a lot of BLTs in my grandson's future. They love them.
One of my Mom's neighbors put a glass top stove and refrigerator on the lawn for sale yesterday. She said that they were so clean that they looked new to her so she just had to ask about them. Turns out that they bought them about three years ago before they bought their current house. They have been doing some reno in their new house and upgraded the kitchen. Since it now has white cabinets the lady wanted stainless steel appliances instead of the white they had. They sold them both to her for less than $200. She is over the moon. She had been trying to save up for new appliances but thought she still had a ways to go to have enough. Now she may be able to get a new sofa too. I want to take her shopping when I am up there and help her out a bit so she can go ahead and get one.
