How good a shower and shampoo feel after 13 hours in over 100-degree heat. Feels so luxurious.
Grateful that I decided to go over and check on my husband yesterday. He had gone to the office by himself to load a lift and then go to my son's. We had already been working outside in the high heat. The heat index was 107 when I got up yesterday and went up to 114. I got a "feeling" about an hour after he left and went to check on him. He was uncoordinated and slurring his words. I got his test kit and got him to sit down and test. He admitted that he was seeing a lot of weird colors and feeling sorta weak but he has a sinus infection and is on medication. He thought that was it. Silly man. His sugar was in the 30s. I suspect he was minutes from passing out and wouldn't have lasted long enough to find in that heat if I hadn't shown up when I did. Very grateful for those "funny" feelings.
We were able to help our son get an upstairs window in before the storm hit yesterday evening. He had put in all new ground level windows but was having difficulties upstairs. He called his dad with an SOS to bring a lift to help. By the time we got there, a storm and darkness were both looming on the horizon. We literally finished just minutes before both arrived.
My new jammies. I usually like gowns because I don't like the feeling of most pajamas on my legs in bed but I love these new lounge outfits I found and I don't have to worry about a robe.
