The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

My husband got a wild hair to cook a big southern breakfast this morning and have the family over. He had fried and scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, sausage gravy, and big fluffy biscuits. We both grew up having a similar breakfast most Saturday mornings so it is a big weakness for us because it is not just the foods but the memories and the feeling of comfort it brings. Most of the time I would have to have a bit of everything. This morning I had a serving spoon full of scrambled eggs (the spoon holds about 1.5 eggs when scrambled), a tablespoon of gravy and 2 slices of bacon and called it quits. The little bit of gravy and the bacon made it feel special just the same. Grateful for the willingness to not buy into the memory/comfort thing.
Rain. We are not getting much but what we can get sure is needed here.
Also grateful that we are not getting too much rain. An hour north they are having to evacuate because the flooding is getting so bad.
Cooler temps for now.
My roses are blooming like crazy.
Sat down today and made out lists of WW meals in order of points that I think we will eat. I did one for each meal of the day, snacks and desserts and printed the recipes for those and made a notebook with the lists in front and a copy on the fridge. Now I can see what looks good and falls into the points I am willing to spend at a glance instead of having to go through the computer looking things up every time I make out a menu.
