The oldest grandson finally dropped band. He has been in band for 5 years and it never grew on him. It has always stressed him out but he has been trying to stick it out to please his dad that got a full ride scholarship because of band. His dad finally let him know that he was okay with it if it wasn't a good fit for grandson. He switched to art and loving it. He was so much less anxious tonight. I am grateful that his dad got to spend so much time with him during school time instead of just in the summer and got to see how anxious it made him. The middle grandson will be the one to follow in his dad's footsteps. He loves band and just music of any kind.
My husband hit the water moccasin with the weed eater before it bit him. He didn't even see it until it tried to bite the weed eater and got hit by the string. Because of the bayou nearby and the lake across the street we have a lot of them here. Can't tell you how many I have had lunge at me near dusk and all you can see is that white mouth.
Such a beautiful late afternoon. The temps were cooler than usual and it was just beautiful out and rather peaceful to be the middle of a subdivision.
Getting over the sugar cravings. They are not gone but they aren't driving me crazy and I don't feel like I have the flu today.
