The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

not as enjoyable as it would seem to be. Unless you have a large number of friends that are also not working or taking care of a family member it gets awfully lonely, depressing and unfulfilling very quickly without that forced daily interaction and something that has to be done. It's easy to withdraw and to not even do the things that need doing around the house. If you have three years before retirement then plan for it now. Start taking classes in things that interest you. Take up new hobbies that have like-minded people meeting in your area, join a church group, develop a close-knit group of friends to do things with. STart doing it soon because it is so hard to start after retirement.
