great coffee this morning
Paula's peace of mind about going back to private practice and having more time to enjoy her LIFE. Sweet!
got everything done yesterday which frees up today... 5 loads of laundry, stripped beds, washed towels and all the clothes... company's GONE. And cleaned the whole house from top to bottom. Today I am making out food plans for the rest of the week, and going to the grocery.
a long, hot shower last night and going to sleep in my BED for the first time in 5 days on nice, clean sheets... and by the way, I washed my sheets in a detergent that left this with a subtle Jasmine scent... loved it.
Got rid of the decadent pepperoni Italian casserole by heating mixing it with more spaghetti sauce, putting it into a different pan, sprinkling fresh parmesan and cheddar on top and reheating in the oven, and sending it with Dad to take to the church dinner last night. They thought I had made it just for them!! They loved it. I was just glad to have it out of the house... Food Regift.

-Heard from the owner of the practice and he is really excited about me coming back. I feel sadness about leaving the hospital. I love being a part of a hospital. I love the variety and the 'bigness' of it all. I love the multi-tasking but it just didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. I am taking two sick days (might as well use them. I really earned them!) and will turn my notice in when I get back.
-Will start paining my bathroom this morning
-The support I get here even though I'm not doing anything about my weight and haven't in months.
-A sight I found amazing on Tuesday: I was on my deck grilling a steak for myself (Bill works Tuesday nights and there is something decadent about grilling a steak and having a beer on the deck by myself). Our walnut tree is void of most of it's leaves now. I looked up and the tree was loaded with birds. When one flew away, I saw that it was a robin. The tree was filled with robins! I had the notion that they were gathering their flock to head south and just stopped by to tell me, "We'll see you next spring."

1) that even though it seems like hardly anyone is posting, this place is always here for us and we are an amazing group of friends
2) staying on track since Monday ~ step by step, day by day, I'll take it
3) a really productive day at work yesterday. Felt great to end the day getting some serious work accomplished
4) jogged last night for 2 eight minute intervals. It's amazing what we can do when we set our minds to it. I really worried that I wouldn't be able to go that long. Next up? 20 minutes straight. (HOLY CRAP!)
5) eye appt tonight to see how my eyes are progressing along. One month post-op now. Doc says it could be up to 3 months to see the full benefit.
