The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

Everyone else has been just lazing around here today. I guess they are all still tired from vacation. It has allowed me to get a lot of cleaning done without them underfoot. |
Feeling so much better. I did nothing but read Wednesday and Thursday. I think it helped a lot. I thought both days that I must be coming down with strep like my husband but I guess it was just exhaustion. I have felt good and got a lot done yesterday and today.
Got my big rugs out and got them cleaned this morning. They are the kind that I can just spray down, add a bit of liquid detergent, scrub and spray until they no longer foam, then hang to dry, but it is a big job and I have been putting it off since right before vacation when I noticed that both had something spilled on them. Just rolled them up and promised myself that I would do it when I got back. Hard to do in the rain since I do it outside. So glad it is done because it is a big job.
Found that I have a lot of fusible liner material that can be used for purses. The liner that is usually called for in patterns I don't really care for either to work with or in looks and it is so expensive. I had bought this for a project years ago but evidently didn't make it because there is lots there. Will enjoy using this as long as it. Can't get it now.
Fudgey overnight oats and chia seeds. Like having pudding for breakfast but good for me. Makes a good summer breakfast and if it is put into half-pint jars or other small containers it makes a perfect grab-and-go breakfast on the run. Here is the recipe if you want to try it. I just use my husband's chocolate protein powder instead of the one called for in the recipe. https://www.thedietchefs.com/healthy-fudge-brownie-overnight-oats/

- we didn't go to Cleveland as Murray just needed a couple days OFF. It's been so hectic. We will go next week. |
- the daylilies in bloom just full my heart up
- some of these old-time TV shows are hilarious
- I can see our American flag sitting here it the living room.
- loving seltzer water with only an 'essence' of flavor. I love the bubbles in the carbonation.
friends, family, YOU ALL, fb, internet, cell,
Don't you just love

those old shows? I enjoy them so much more than the new stuff on TV. I rarely turn my TV on these days because the shows aren't enjoyable to me. |

It's the weekend |
Ice...still so sore from falling
Supposed to be cooler and less humid tomorrow so will work in the yard then. Have to be gentle with myself but sitting around just makes me stiffer.
May have lunch with Aisha today.
Two coworkers who I am close to are African American women in their 30's as is my chiro. I told them that I find it ironic that Black girls in their early-mid 30s love me so! I told them I was like their White mammy. They get it. Each is such a dynamic young woman.
Found a woman who will give me French lessons for $15/hour. I found her on Craig's list so we will meet in the library sometime after I return from Cape Cod. Aisha will go with me as she lived in Paris x10 years and is fluent in French.
I am glad that you

are being gentle with yourself and understand about the sitting making you stiffer. If you are able to take baths I believe that soaking in a couple cups of Epsom's salts and a cup of baking soda might help. It did me after taking a spill. If not try soaking your feet in an Epsom salts soak. They say that the magnesium gets into your skin and helps to relax the sore muscles that way too, but not as well as a whole body soak. |
Exciting about the French lessons. I can just see you retiring to France in a few years.
Cinq Choses Pour Moi

1) having friends over tonight |
2) pizzas made and in the fridge for tonight
3) working at the radio station today
4) thankful I'm not dependent on my gym pay as it is NEVER RIGHT. I'm short 3 shifts this chq - getting tired of it and have ANOTHER email in to boss to see how we can fix this. Offered to email her my hours every week before she puts in payroll. She won't be big on that as she has 50+ instructors. I just want a solution
5) the first cuppa joe each morning
Don't you just hate it

when people can't do their jobs correctly and it makes your life harder? I hope you get the gym pay straightened out permanently soon. Sounds like they need someone like you in their office to get them straight. Have fun at the party tonight. Homemade pizza sounds great. |
Esp when there is money involved!

Sadly, I don't think things will change - this is a new responsibility for this gal and I just don't think her heart is in it. She's in a serious love relationship and has seemed to "checked out" of work for the past 6 months. |
I don't get to eat the pizza most times as breaded items don't "sit well" with me. But the others love it
