The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"
So what have I missed...

Ray's on 2 weeks vacation now so we're looking forward to relaxing and doing some day trips. |
Cooper has a catio and spend a great deal of time out there lounging. We love him dearly!
Since March 20th, I've stopped cake, cookies, chocolate, cheese and crackers, donuts and stayed on that path. It's a miracle to me to not have had candy. I was 210 and now am 194-196 most days. My goal is simply to stay under 200 for the summer and then I'll give it another go and see where I land.
Bought some smaller second hand clothes and am loving the compliments from gym members. It's "only" 14+ lbs but seems to have made a huge difference.
Did 3 weeks full time at the radio station and am about to start another 4 weeks of it August 8 onward. LOVING IT.
Ray is doing well - on a drug for 7 weeks now for psioratic (sp?) arthritis and finally seeing some relief from pain. Hope it's finally helping!
Thanks for asking

Weight - wise; I am still at the same weight as I was after my surgery last January - up & down a few. |
LOVED seeing lots of photos of Mike & gang on their vacation
I've been having some 'lung trouble' - hurts to breath sometimes in right lung. GP is doing tests & now I am taking prednisone. UGH.(only 10 days with 3 done!!) Inflamation left overs from last January it seems.
Maxie fell into something on the door & needed 7 stiches on his forehead.
fighting with the groundhog LOL
I am going to join the YMCA
We are going to Cape Cod in a few weeks - with Murray's sister, my sister & Mandy. Also, my niece Erika and her boyfriend, Fred.
Mom, Rachel & Barbara are having some good and not so good health days.
Alex came to stay with us for 5 days near the 4th of July.
Enough for now. LOVE that you are here.

not much with me. I did start losing a bit for a couple of weeks but then I stopped and gained it back a couple of weeks later. I realized that I had had a steroid shot that had probably caused the loss. I seem to lose every time I get a shot or take a pred pack. I guess it gets rid of the inflammation and it is not fat loss. On the other hand, we took the grandkids to Disney World last month and I had a treat every afternoon without gaining so that is new. I also managed to average walking 7 miles a day, which was thrilling to be able to do. So it seems that my health is improving a bit. |
My daughter got engaged to a nice young man and the kids love him, but they don't seem to be in a big hurry to get married. I guess that can be a good thing.
Other than that everything seems to be rather static at the moment, not very exciting, but static can be good because things are not falling apart and going downhill.

Despite some stress in my life, I am not eating over it and am down 55 1/2 pounds! Weight Watchers is still working for me, and I am able to stick with it and it is paying off. I have now been on the program since February 15th 2016. I hate to think how much weight I would have gained had I not joined! |
We have 2 rentals that we are doing some rehab on to get them ready to rent. One should be done this weekend, and the other not for a couple of months! Ken is doing the majority of the work, and I help paint, clean, etc.
My sister Sherry passed away a month ago, and now the oldest sibling, Kaye got out of the hospital a couple of days ago and has hospice care. I don't know what is going on there. She is in Florida and her son is keeping me posted on her health. He said they are keeping her on her heart meds, bp meds, etc and keeping her comfortable, but I thought with hospice they take you off all your meds. So I am a little confused by that.
So happy to see you back Shirley! It just wasn't the same without you!
I am so sorry

I'm still overweight ;-)
I still have 5 pets that drive me nuts....3 of whom pee randomly around my house
I still need my ex to live here to help pay bills and take care of my pets
I have a new coworker who, after some initial concerns, is going to take a lot of work burden off of me
Heading to Cape Cod for a week-long conference tomorrow
Spending a little more time with my sister
Day-dreaming of a next trip to Prague, Munich, Salzburg and Paris...Fall 2018 or Spring 2019.
Found a woman to give me French lessons for $15/hour. Going to set up a meeting with her in August and planning to bring my friend, Aisha, who is fluent in French, to help me check things out.
SO...not much different than when you left on your 'sabbatical.'
