The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

1) lunch at one of the gals from the gym and a bunch of them. Lovely bunch! |
2) bought myself 4 new "real" bras from a bra shop today. I don't think I've ever spent this much on myself on bras in my entire life. Really good quality ones
3) did #2 because I had worked so much at the radio and felt this was a little "mad" money
4) we put another big chunk of money on the mortgage today
5) $3.88 for Tide at Walmart. Usually I get it on sale at other stores for $4.99 so I was thrilled with this price!
My Thursday Thankfuls

How utterly beautiful the moon was as it was coming up last night and that I was able to experience it. The moon was HUGE as it came up last night and I was driving down a road that looked like it was going straight through it. Beautiful experience. |
I could swear my biggest bite looks like it has finally receded a bit instead of growing overnight. At least it doesn't look so red and angry to me, or I am just getting used to it. The smaller one looks to still be getting bigger but slower than it was. I hope that they tell me tomorrow that it's not my imagination and things are finally turning around and I won't have to be hospitalized tomorrow.
My husband helped my son save his AC. They will still have to save for a new one next year, but for the moment they can get some breathing space financially.
My husband also helped install a new water heater for son and family last night and found that the wiring for the old water heater was not up to code for the heater that was there and that new wall plugs had been added to an old breaker and the breaker had not been upsized to handle the load. It was a fire hazard. He rewired the hot water heater all the way to the box and put in new breakers that could handle the upgrades that had been done before the house sold. Grateful to know that they are not living in a fire hazard now and grateful for a husband who took being a general contractor seriously and learned and was certified to do every job in the building trade instead of just letting subs do everything and not knowing if they were correct. It comes in handy at times.
Grateful that my husband made it home last night. It was after midnight and he had to drive an hour to get home. He had been fed pizza and although he took insulin his sugar and the late hour made him very sleepy. So glad he was able to stay awake. He grabbed a very quick shower and was out in less than 5 minutes after.
