The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"
Gratitudes for Sunday.

1) Ray is painting the new cabinet he built for the kitchen over the past few weekends. Pictures to follow! |
2) enjoying my new car
3) nice time with Ray's family last night for our annual gift-exchange and dinner
4) off to the gym at noon and I'm pretty sure Amanda is coming to teach with me which is always fun
5) everything that was ordered online for Christmas has arrived -- all I have left to do is pick up a gift card or two for Ray (as I KNOW he didn't stick to our $100 limit!)
My Gratitudes for (isn't it still) Saturday?

Had my biannual mammogram yesterday. The radiologist told me that I haven't changed in three years (cystic breasts and my baseline was lost in an office move) that I can go back to yearly check-ups now. Yay! |
My sister had a visit with the oncologist yesterday and he confirmed what the surgeon had told her already, they couldn't find any sign of active cancer in her bones.
My new floor looks beautiful. So excited to get the furniture moved back in there and get everything in both dining rooms cleaned up again. We went from carpet to a laminate in the game room. The boys are having more and more friends over and since they are older and all eat voraciously it is much easier to clean, though it may be louder when they play pool or ping pong.
My daughter-in-law's heart. She is one of the best people I have ever seen to support people when something happens. It just seems to come naturally to her to know exactly what each individual needs and do it.
Having a plan for Christmas. I have been on plan since November 27 and been okay with it but being bombarded with Christmas foods, it's getting hard to resist them. It is my plan to make some on-plan Christmas cookies and a dessert for our Christmas party that I actually do like so I don't feel left out. I have made a menu that has plenty on-plan food for me to eat. Just going to give the dressing and regular desserts a miss and that won't be hard since I am having other people's favorite desserts that I don't care much for, not making any of my obsessions. Going to give myself leeway to have one serving of sweet potato casserole with real brown sugar in the streusel on top. Other than that I am not going to worry if I taste the dressing or whatever to make sure it is right since I make it by taste and not by recipe. I think I may even have a moratorium on weighing until after the new year. Plan to do a "damage control"three-day plan starting the day after Christmas. Make an on plan menu that I can successfully stick to, stick to the plan and don't sweat the small stuff; that's my plan.

How happy Krista is and the fullness of her life! TTK...I couldn't be happier for you and one of the very best parts is how much you are to share in the joy of others. |
How much Delta, Sue and Beverly enjoy their families.
The love between Ken/Cindy, Beverly/Murray, Krista/Ray....I'm sure others, too, but these guys talk about it more.
