The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"
Sad, sad morning

Katie has not had good days this week. Lethargic, vomiting, not eating...then seeming to rebound. |
I came home last night and she was really sick. Bill said she ate dinner but she wouldn't get up. She started vomiting and was trying to stand up but just fell over. Bill carried her outside.
I brought her into my bedroom, on a mat next to my bed in case she needed me during the night.
She is still very sick this morning. We took her outside...she actually walked on her own...She was straining to go to the bathroom and she just fell to the ground. It was too hard for her. Then she started vomiting.
Yesterday, we made a vet appt for this morning at 8:30. The new vet who I do not know and who is a young vet is the only one there today. I am so close to my vet and really respect and like the other 2 vets that have worked with me on my animals.
I hate that we are having to deal with a vet we don't know and aren't even sure he's good at what he does. I would feel so much better if our vet or one of the others was going to be there to talk me through this and to put her down which seems inevitable at this point.
She is the sweetest dog.

to read about all this and how it is affecting you. It is so hard dealing with a very sick, well-loved pet and to face the possibility of possibly having to have them put down, but to not have your familiar vet onboard must be making it so much more stressful for you. I am sure that the new hire has been thoroughly vetted (no pun intended) by the people you know and trust and fits well at the clinic so hopefully will be very good. Sending you lots of cyberhugs.|
I am so sorry to hear this

My heart breaks reading this. I am sure that if the vets you admire and respect work alongside this new vet, that this vet, although young, will do a good job guiding you through whatever needs to be done. |
Iím saying a prayer for you and Katie as I know this is such a hard time for you. Katie is such a lucky girl having you for her mommy. Love you friend. (((((HUGS))))). We are all here for you.

Paula - I am so very sorry to hear of Katie taking a turn for the worse. As for the new vet... they would not have hired him/her to be a good asset to the office. |
I know how much you love all your furkids...
Hoping for the best. Love to you. (Bill too - he loves her too)
