The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

Gratefuls for Thursday.
Posted by Delta on 1/4/2018, 4:03 pm, in reply to "Gratefuls for Thursday."
Being able to lose so well last month. Since I didn't really change anything but getting off some meds a few weeks before cracking down after too many Thanksgiving sweets and I have struggled for so long gaining while doing everything that is supposed to be right 90% of the time it sometimes makes me feel as if I have a fatal wasting sickness. |
Having a decent internet connection today. After complaining about my mother's internet it took me almost an hour to post my WIW and comment on two posts yesterday.
My husband and daughter are at it again and my house is in total chaos. Not happy about the chaos or the noise but I know that when they finish today or tomorrow that my house will be more like I planned it to begin with. When we were building this house I had a plan for different flooring than what I got. What I wanted had to be ordered and I was told that there was a long wait (not too sure that the floorcovering people weren't trying to pawn off a large inventory in stock on us). Since we had decided by that stage that we were not going to live in the house we came to the conclusion that the other flooring would be okay, but it is almost WHITE and shows the least little dirt so badly. With three kids here white floors are not conducive to sanity. Grateful to know that after the chaos is over (and I clean like a demon) my floors will be the ones I envisioned from the beginning.
Heat, coffee, and warm clothing. I don't think I even wore a long sleeve shirt more than a time or three last winter but for the past week temp has been freezing and way below every day. We even had one night that the wind chill was -7F (-21.6667 Krista). For us, that is COLD, especially since we sat outside in short sleeves most of the day Christmas day. Even with the heat on where it normally stays I just can't seem to feel warm. Also grateful that the temps are supposed to be back in the 40s over the weekend even with the rain that is coming. That's usually cold for us, but it will feel like a heat wave after the past week. I would never make it up north during the winter.
Body Works Night Time Repair lip balm. Expensive (I always wait for half price sale) but it heals my winter lips overnight. My husband has become a fan too.
Hope it was the meds!

-my work week has been quiet. I needed this after working all 12 hours there for a while |
-Iím thankful for my down comforter. I feel so luxurious when I snuggle up in it at night!! I normally get way too hot somewhere in the middle of the night and have to kick it off but I still like it!!!
-Iím thankful for strong healthy kids! We did have that stomach bug move through but very quickly Thank God!!
- Right now, I am the fattest I have ever been. I feel like I need to find my ďdiet fitĒ. I have always loved the Trim Healthy Mama plan. But that diet requires that you eat something every 2 to 3 hours. And with my work schedule that never works out. And, I always have the tendency to be a grazer. Iím not sure if there is any plan that will work for a person tends to graze all day long. Iím really down in the dumps about this and Iím not sure what to do about it. The only thankful I have is that I was blessed with a new day to try again.
-Leggings!! I am thankful for stretchy comfortable leggings right now LOL!

It is so good to see you here. We miss you. Good to hear that things are going well with you and you have settled down enough to catch your breath. Was thinking about what you said about liking THM but it not fitting because you are a grazer. Actually, I think it might. It will take a little planning ahead but then it should be fairly easy. You just need to make sure that you don't have an E meal and an S meal within 2-3 hours of each other. You could have a small meal of either then maybe graze on FP if your next meal is different. I did see on their site that one woman who is a grazer eats S one day then E the next so she doesn't have to worry about getting them too close together. If it was me I think I would make a Pinterest board for S meals, E meals, and FP meals. That way you can sit down on one of your days off and plan out what you will eat so that you don't mix them. After a week or so it should get easier to plan. I know that THM doesn't count calories but if you graze all day try to measure out portions or you can possibly go overboard because I imagine you don't get too much time to think about what you are eating once your day starts until it is over. You did so well on THM when you first started, so much so that you got me on board, so I know that you can do this. Come on, I'm on team Gina. |
hi Delta!!!!! **** waves madly back!!!*****

You are a great cheerleader!!!!! |
I had thought about doing all S meals and all E meals with FP snacks. But you are correct...I need to portion control!!
You have given me some hope again!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!
Nice to see you Gina!

Happy New Year! I would HIGHLY recommend considering the Keto diet. Im down 20 lbs since Nov 20 and am in awe of how easy it is! Low carbs, high fat basically. Can I do it forever? NO idea but I'm so tiny right now, I might |

1) 20 lbs gone as of today. Nov 20 I was 204 and this morning I am 184. I am the lowest weight I have been since 2011! Sweet Baby Jesus! |
2) asked my boss for a raise. He has passed it along to his boss for consideration. I would like to have $1 an hour ($13 to $14) which is MORE THAN REASONABLE so we'll see how that pans out. I am thankful it didn't fall on deaf ears (yet)
3) this "diet" is so easy to follow. All I am really counting is carbs and tracking them. I started around 25 and now I'm playing with 25-30. That's all I count and I don't eat anything "crazy"
4) great class at the gym yesterday - had about 40 people in class and lots of comments yesterday on how much they enjoyed it - that's always music to my ears
5) big storm coming today - although there's 25-45 cm of snow expected, I'm thankful it's supposed to rain afterwards and hopefully the snow won't stay. Gotta find a grat in there somewhere! LOL

I honestly can't believe how easy it has been. It's a mind-shift for sure but lucky for me, I don't get bored eating the same stuff. Almost every day I have a couple of eggs with butter and 2 oz cheese, folded over. It's so yummy and filling!|
