The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

Bill is moving out today. I have a lot of fears about how I am going to manage everything on my own but I guess I'm grateful for his hateful mouth to be out of my life. I'm glad today is here because tomorrow I'll begin to figure it all out. Feel very sad for Charlie, however. Bill is with him most of the day. |
The rain should hold off until he gets his stuff out of here.
Charlie has another laser arse treatment at 10:30 so he and I will be gone during the move. The cats are locked in the computer room and I can hear them banging on the door to get out.
My two interviews (for the same job) went well but I won't be able to take it even if they make an offer. First they said that private practices are 'frowned upon.' Actually I think it's in the liability insurance. Also they said I would have to be flexible in my scheduling due to clients' needs. Given all the new responsibilities I have at home, I can't be flexible.
My friend, Barbara, gave my resume to her boss. She was my co-therapist in the clinic until she took a new job last April. She works for a substance abuse program affiliated with the hospital. Perks are increased salary, a parking lot right outside the building (instead of taking the bus or having to park blocks away from the downtown campus of the hospital where I am now), my own office in a new building, and flexibility. I just wouldn't tell them about the practice so 'don't ask, don't tell' could work for me. I know she really wants me there though substance abuse is the one area that I have very little experience in. She said she would coach me through the interview. She said she is sure I'll be called but I'm not sure of anything right now. I was on her interview panel and, since I was the only other therapist, my word meant the most so, in essence, I got her the job in the clinic. She knows what a time I'm going through and really wants to help me.

Well.... looks like some good things are coming your way. They come with challenges too. But - for the best. |
I hope it goes in the direction you like with the interview with your friend coaching.
Transition time is heading your way - can be stressful. Hold on tight, my dear friend.

Things are looking up. Glad to hear it's moving day. Trust that things will work out - they always have a way of doing that. |
Wishing you all the best with the job hunt -- remember hold out for what works for PAULA!

1) seeing a post from Rachael and hearing she is down 21 lbs - WooOooOo Freaking HoooooOO! |
2) Paula's cat, Gianni, is doing much better
3) Ray and I are enjoying watching Shameless - we are on Season 2 (there are 8)
4) my car should be back to me by Wednesday at the latest. (Car rental runs out that day with insurance coverage so that worked out well!)
5) getting ready to kick it into high gear on Monday with the "diet". I'm going to drop by carbs to 20 (I am closer to 25-28 most days) and try some intermittent fasting. I am up almost 5 lbs and it's not going down so I gotta fire it up again
glad you will get your car back soon....
