The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

Bill and Scott had a great time at NASCAR.....meeting-up with old friends. They were so excited to be together again....so many stories to tell! It's been a year - - |
My driver (Kyle Larson) won the Saturday NASCAR race. I'll be getting a few $$'s.
Sophie and I had a VERY quiet day. We took a short walk through the neighborhood, and she got a lot of attention from neighbors.
Scott wanteed some of Mom's Lasagna for dinner tonight, so guess what I'll be doing this afternoon. Other than that, my time is my own!
Today's weather is supposed to be a LOT better than yesterday's. The wind was brutal. They're saying warmer & sunnier with calmer winds. All Righty!

1) Ray's working at our friend's soon-to-be art gallery today. He'll make some extra money but I'll miss him |
2) another day off teaching. Bittersweet as I miss it so much but listening to chiro. Haven't taught Pump in 2 weeks. Thankful that I have others to carry the load in the meantime
3) warm temps - above zero for the past couple weeks which is wild for us
4) sweet little Cooper
5) Beverly's birthday. I hope it's really special!
We sure love

Drinking coffee from the beautiful coffee mug I bought when I was in Les Baux-de-Provence last year. I broke my other mug yesterday (actually the handle broke off and I was thankful I hadn't already poured hot coffee in it. See, my luck is changing). I've been 'saving' my new mug. My mom always saved her good and new stuff. I find myself doing the same and, at 63, what am I saving anything for?? Anyway, it's beautiful and represents such wonderful memories. |
I am going to try to do a little bit of cleaning and leave raking today. I am very behind on both. I overwhelm myself by waiting too long and, then, working like a demon to get it all done. I need to learn the art of doing a little at a time. I miss having someone clean my house 2x week. When/if the finances work themselves out, I think I will look for someone. It's too hard for all my joints. Also I won't look for anyone until I am certain there are no bugs left. I was in the bathroom Bill used Friday and saw two bugs...they could have been anything but I called Orkin and they are coming back out tomorrow. I began freaking out all over again! I am keeping the rooms he used blocked off.
Chilly but sunny.
Flowers blooming. Plants pushing up...daylillies, peonies, hydrangea leaves, forsythia, and the plant that Beverly and I both love and whose name I can't remember right now...the green one with splashes of silver on the leaves and pinkish-red clusters of flowers...
My neighbor fixed my back door. It was latching and could just be pushed open if the dead bolt wasn't turned.
Since you are keeping

the rooms that Bill used blocked off for now, have you thought of going to the pet store and buying a couple of those room "foggers" that are used for fleas and other insects/bugs? That might bring you some peace of mind. |
We used them at the cottage when a friend brought her dog over who was infested with fleas. They were everywhere inside the cottage....even on our socks. We left the cottage for a few hours while the foggers did their thing.....worked very well and even killed spiders, water roaches and other crawly things. Just an idea.
Did ant spray

to the "saving for good" thingy. That's me to a "T", and I'm trying very hard to break away from it. I using more and more things everyday that used to be only "for good"... .... At the same time, I'm also trying to get rid of a lot of "stuff" that I've been saving "just because"...(memories attachment). I'm sure you all can relate to my way of thinking....crazy or not. lol|
