The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

You NAILED it girl. What changes when we get to goal??? Nothing. We aren't magically different. It will still be a struggle every day for as long as we live and want to stay healthy. It's not MAGIC. We don't get to goal and start eating boatloads of carbs and processed foods again. Or if we do we gain it all back. Now we can all have a healthy weekend. 😁|
I am so glad to see you here Cindyh!

I saw where you have been having a rough time and my heart goes out to you. I hope that things ease for you soon. |
You are so right, There is no magic and we really don't need to even set goals because nothing changes. We just need to find a healthy way to eat and keep it up. When our body gets to where it wants to be and our calories balance that is our goal unless we are willing to eat less and that is not usually healthy. I love how Cindy has been "marching" toward her goal for so many months now. She doesn't let the scale dictate to her. It is all about the plan. She sticks to it and plans to always do so. The weight comes off as it will. she has lost about 75 pounds but it has not been fast. She just keeps to plan and keeps on marching. That is what we all need to do. We don't need tightening up so much it is not healthy in order to get the scales to move. I think all that nonsense is what made my body just stop losing and start gaining even on a low-calorie diet. It took so long to heal that it was very discouraging. It may not be fun to think about never going back to the old way of eating but the party is definitely over. We are no longer young, our bodies are no longer forgiving and we can no longer cheat and get away with it. Most of the time when we eat in an unhealthy way even if the scale doesn't go up our bodies hurt all over from damaging inflammation. I guess our Peter Pan days are over and it is time to grow up and learn that our choices have consequences so that we make the choices today for how we want to look, feel and move weeks and months down the road. This is just all things I have been sitting around thinking about for me, but I think it applies to most of us here.

Hope things are a little better with you! And just one size will change for me - but that was a great message from Delta wasn't it?|
