The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

1. Good visit with Kenís brother Bill who lives in a nursing home! He was doing well and happy to see us! |
2. Good coffee in the morning and in the afternoon!
3. Grocery pick up at Walmart! Love ordering online and having them bring it out to my car!
4. Weight Watchers. Just finished a nice meal of a salad and a baked potato! Yum!
5. The solar mole chasers we found at Harbor Freight. We have always had a problem with moles digging tunnels in our yard and Ken has tried everything to get rid of them. I saw someone post about this product they found at Harbor Freight on Facebook and looked at the reviews online and everyone was singing their praises about them. For $9.99 itís worth trying!

When Bill walked Charlie, he only went a few houses for fear his spine problems would be an issue. On work mornings we take a short walk but on my days off, I walk him a little more than half a mile. Well, today I took the road that leads to the path that lead through the woods and to the river. We got to the path and as much as I wanted to take him to the river, I decided it was too much. Then, all the dogs came. Owners bring their dogs to the woods and many of the dogs jump in the river to play 'fetch' with balls. Many of them are off leash and all of them are friendly. Well, when he saw all the dogs, he looked at me (truly he did) and begged to go with them. I thought I should be the reasonable mother and take him home, knowing what's best for him. Then I saw that face and that tail and thought, "The hell with it. He wants to go and he probably doesn't have a lot of walks left in him. Even if we have to walk so slowly home that it takes an hour, he's wants it and he's worth it!!" We walked through the woods and down to the river. He loved all the dogs and, oh the woods! How he loved the woods. He was rescued as a stray from the country and he had a hole in his ear (the floppy part) which some say probably was where he had a tag as a hunting dog. He would just stop and look far away into the distance and sniff and smell. It was beautiful to watch and I will always remember this day with him. If I take him again, I will drive closer to the path so the best part of the walk can be in the woods and near the river. |
I signed up for WW on line yesterday. The app seems easy to use and thorough. Haven't figured out anything about food yet but it's a start and plan to do a careful grocery list today.
Found some ground cover that is supposed to grow in dry, shaded areas which is a unique situation....
Haven't thought a lot about work and the job offer this weekend. The nerves will probably go up again tomorrow when I assume they will call.
I know Charlie and I walked slowly but I had no trouble walking it and it had to be at least a mile.
love, love, love the Charlie story

The beautiful eastern sky this morning.......majestic looking! |
Looking forward to game 3 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs tonight. Go Golden Knights!
Doing a big grocery shopping this morning. It will be my last in Vegas. I enjoy shopping for groceries but not regular shopping. Go figure.
His Day of Rest. Other than grocery shopping, I plan to do just that. We'll probably sit out in the yard, share a few adult beverages with the neighbors and just enjoy the day!
Most of the frozen meats and other things are gone from the freezers. I'm trying to deplete them before we leave. Almost there.
