The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

Before breakfast, I had shucked, silked and put 100 ears of corn in the freezer. I was so zealous that I forgot to leave some out for our dinner. |
Put some ribs in the oven this morning to slow roast all day. They smell scrumptious. It may be hard to limit myself to 3 of them but I'll have lots of fresh veggies to lure me too.
That I love fresh veggies so much since we have so many. What we get in the store and sometimes even at the Farmer's Market don't hold a candle to something still warm out of the garden.
Seeing such a full board when I came in. It's good to see everyone here.
I got a lot done today but now I can sit down for about and hour.

I can't believe how much you have coming up already! I'm in VA and the vegetables aren't ready to pick yet. I can't stand shucking corn so more power to you. I grew up near lots of midwest cornfields and they weren't ready to harvest until after the 4th of July but that was far North|
Actually things were a couple

to three weeks late coming in this year because of the crazy weather. The corn wasn't so bad because it was a sweet corn so the shucks were tender and all came off in one twist/pull. It was the silks that were crazy this time. It all looked as if it was in a contest for the best Cousin It. I have never seen such hairy looking corn. It was all the weather too. Usually, this breed doesn't have much silk. |

My family. Love them so much.
I like a lot of the OA/NA/AA literature...all take off of each other.

All our clothes and bedding are CLEAN.....
Bill got the lawn mowing started this morning. It conked out last night right in the middle of mowing.
A beautiful, sunny day. A good day for yardwork!
My doctor is changing me back to my previous blood pressure med. This one is NOT agreeing with me. I'm a shaking mess..... lol
Didn't get my mail forwarding problem straightened out, but they're "working on it"! Uh-huh ....

using a laundromat. For a long time we had to use one. It was nearby, clean, well staffed and maintained. I could go in load up the machines with clothes and money, sit and read in peace, get up and load up the dryer with clothes and money, read some more, fold clothes and in 60-90 minutes have all our clothes clean at one time as well as getting in some good reading. |
On the other hand, the laundromats here are a hot mess, filled with loud people all the time, nasty, with no attendants. I wouldn't feel comfortable going at all and it is nice to throw in a load whenever I want.
I really don't mind
Posted by Sue on 6/27/2018, 8:00 am, in reply to "In some ways I envy you"
going to thelaundromat, because it all can be done at one time. Only takes me about 1 and half hours to do it all. But, I really miss the convenience of throwing in a load or two when I WANT to. I always look forward to doing laundry in Vegas! lol|

grateful - I did NOT binge last night!!!
Posted by Beverly on 6/26/2018, 9:47 am, in reply to "Tuesday's gratefuls"
- I made it though & didn't binge - I need to build on it. Stayed on my food plan too. |
- Murray finished the weeding
- Mom got her new fridge... she's happy. Apartment managers are giving her a new toilet too. She's very happy. LOL Needed both.
- Murray is so wonderful to my Mom and Rachel. His sister, Nancy, has that kindness around the elderly and/or folks that have health concerns. Double blessing
- Nice to be able to see movies ON Demand - the ones that are just out of the theatres. It's 6$ but wel worth it and less $ .... when you county in snacks.
- You wonderful ladies!!!
friends, family, you all, fb, internet, cell, car works well.

how it's going with WW. I did really well the 3 weeks I was on it...now 4 weeks off...2 days back on. It is so hard for me to stay in my points. Just doing what I can|
Posted by Delta on 6/27/2018, 4:07 pm, in reply to "Let me know"
You had an AMAZING loss during your initial weeks even though you say that you had trouble staying in your points. Do the best you can. Maybe pick one good habit that you want to work on at a time instead of a negative thought (example: I want to work into eating 3 vegetables and 2 fruits a day instead of I can't have this or that). You know all the psychology so use that instead of beating up on yourself. I hate seeing how hard you are on you, though you have seemed to lighten up on yourself lately, good for you! Be nice to my friend, please. |

It has been only a few days... I am still figuring it out myself. It's hard to stay in the pounts. Today I got the app for my computer to see all the points of things. That should help. I think it's doing the best I can too. |
I am on Team Paula.
I am grateful for whatever

helped you make it through and hope that it works for you the next time you need it. |
I love movies but hate to go to the theaters these days because so often here there are so many rude people that talk loudly all the way through so it is a bad experience. I am going to have to check into ON Demand. We have it but my husband just scrolls on by when he has the remote (which is most of the time). If it is not a ball game he is asleep 3 minutes in so he doesn't pay for movies anymore. I might check that out at night after he goes to bed though. Thanks for the reminder.
If you like movies
Posted by Beverly on 6/26/2018, 11:02 pm, in reply to "I am grateful for whatever"
than click onto that and see what's in the theatre or newest. |
For a TV show I usually go to the Network to find my show
Or - if you have a movie in mind...you can also look via through search & spell it in

We have had such trouble with our provider since the winter that we have watched very little. Everything would freeze for a few minutes or become pixelated. We were having a lot of storms so we thought it was just the weather. Lately, it started giving an error code and they came out and came out and came out doing this and that. Finally, the guy came out and put in a brand new everything instead of the already used ones on his truck. So far we haven't had any more problems and we have been watching the college world series, so I may start watching late night TV again when I am up by myself. |
I understand the part

About bingeing. So happy you made it. What service allows you to stream movies that are in the theater?? Cool|
Posted by Beverly on 6/26/2018, 4:25 pm, in reply to "I understand the part"
We have On Demand in our Sprectrum package. |
Often movies that are just about wrapping up their time in the theatre.... our available via TV. Still have to pay of course. It's usually 5 or 6 dollars for 24 hours. Fun. (no expense if getting goodies at the expensive snack area!!)

1. A good, productive day back at work yesterday. |
2. Getting a text from my friend Roger. Iím going to the hospital later today to see him. I hope he will be up for a short visit. They are trying once again to put a feeding tube in today. His tumor has prevented it in the past, so please pray they can get it in today. If they can get nutrition started via a feeding tube, they can start treatment.
3. My husband Ken. Love him so much.
4. No rain overnight. While I am sure the farmers need the rain, I love a nice sunny day!
5. This day and all it has to offer.
Love how you love Ken

Purchased my ticket for the Opera in Milan....Teatro Alla Scala. I am in tears! I have wanted to go to La Scala forever. When I first started dreaming about going to Europe, to Italy, especially, well, first, I never thought it would happen. Anyway, I bought a beautiful picture of the Opera house as my 'promise picture' and it's hung on my wall ever since. (I am probably repeating myself what WTH! I am so excited!). The last two times I've been to Italy, Milan wasn't on my agenda. The city itself holds no charm for me other than La Scala and Mussolini's train station...quite a combination. Opera season opens in September so I knew I was going to be able to finally go. It's Verdi opera that I've never heard of but Verdi earned his acclaim at La Scala. The tickets didn't go on sale until today at noon (Europe time) so I got up a little early to have the time to get my ticket and I DID! I can't believe it! I thought, "I'm so excited but there is no one at work who will get me enough to understand what this means because they don't know me" and that was a bummer. THEN, I realized I had enough time to get on line again and share it with you gals!! So thankful for that! |
Now, I have to go to work.
Over the moon happy for you :)

1) seeing my doc at 9:30 this morning to get the MRI results of my spine, talk about changing medications (dropping Lyrica and starting something new) and what next steps I can take on shoulder pain and next steps in general |
2) appointment with pain mgmt doctor already set up for August 1
3) appointment to remove lapband already set up for July 25
4) massage this afternoon. I'm sad as it's my "girl's" last day for appointments as she is graduating from the business college but I'm so thankful for her over the past 7 months. She's really good
5) Ray wished me a happy anniversary this morning. I said "It's not our anniversary!" He said "It's the 26th of the month" so we're celebrating today 8 years and 4 months ♥ since our first date
What a guy!

Do you have a new Keriug yet or was it just one of those fluke things with the coffee? I don't know how I can use the same measuring thingy, put the same amount of coffee in the pot from the same container of ground beans and one day get not so good coffee, one day get ho-hum coffee and one day get ambrosia. Whatever caused it I am glad that you had a great cup today and wish you many more in the future. |
I love that last one!

Have you seen the smaller ones? They had them on sale at our Walmart for $49 one week. They take up a lot less space than the original but the reservoir still holds about the same amount. I almost got one when I saw them but decided that since I had one already and my daughter has one that we didn't need another one. The next week ours stopped working and we couldn't find one of those small ones anywhere. Luckily ours just needed to be reset and works great again. I just wish I liked the coffee they brew. It always seems that I can taste the plastic. I love my brew!|
