The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

The nice weather in the mornings the past couple of days. This June has been hotter then the end of July usually is. Near or over 100F every day of the month until this week, even at night it usually stayed in the 90s. |
It has been so hot the vegetables were beginning to cook on the vines/plants. My husband made arches out of PVC pipe and covered them with shade cloth for the raised beds. It is helping. It looks like we have a garden full of covered wagons. I plan to keep the arches, remove the shade cloth in the late fall and replace it with heavy plastic so that we can have greenhouses to protect tomatoes from frost. We can generally have tomatoes until Christmas or later unless a frost or two gets them. We can also plant earlier next spring.
AC working well. So many people have been out this month because the temps have been overworking them.
Watching baseball with my husband. I have always enjoyed baseball and my husband played college baseball on a scholarship so we used to watch a lot of baseball together but somehow other than the grandkids we haven't watched a lot for a couple of years. It's nice to make that habit together again.
Dishwasher, washer and dryer. They all sure get a good workout in this house.
Great idea re the plants!

My equipment arrived yesterday, and Bill got it all put together. My day chair and bed contraption are ready to use. |
Bought food to put together several meals for next week. Bill's not big on casseroles, so it's mainly meat, potatoes/rice, vegetable and salads. We'll figure it out. lol He CAN cook when he wants. I'm making a big pot of stew today.
My head is in a pretty good place....I'm so ready for this to be over. I'll find out all the details later today.
Dreading the thought of extreme heat and all the fireworks next year.....but, we'll shoulder on! One day soon, this all will be a memory....I HATE fireworks unless they're on TV....so does Sophie. This will be a challenge, but Bill and the kids will be with me.....
Here is an idea

that Bill can make to keep you cool while you are in bed. Personally, I think that the vent tube part would be better on the lid or at least near the top if it is on the side. But it works. This is the same design that the hospital sent home with my mother when she had knee replacement surgery, only the vent was hooked to a tube that went to a knee wrap. It worked great. |
Hope someone keeps us posted

So glad you are getting ready... when is the surgery?|
Early tomorrow morning.....
Posted by Sue on 6/28/2018, 8:53 am, in reply to "you are getting it all together"
I have to call after 1pm today, and they'll let us know what time to be at the hospital.....it could be as early as 5am. Kari is coming up in the morning....bringing dinner....and staying with Sophie while we're gone. It will be at least 3 hours. Bill has to stay with me.|
Sending love and prayers for the very best result!

1) pre-op appointment today at hospital. I'm not sure what they test but it's here at the Saint John hospital for my upcoming lapband removal on July 25 |
2) working at the radio tomorrow morning and then a remote in the afternoon. Going to be a long one but I love being on the air and the remote is $40 / hour pay - who wouldn't love that?
3) all your support, advice and suggestions through the past 9+ months of various pains. I can't even begin to tell you how much it means to me
4) co-workers at gym for helping cover my classes for the next 4 weeks. I have about 8/12 classes covered so far
5) coffee. Made some yesterday with ice, coffee, sugar twin and vanilla Premier Protein shake. Delicious!
It's good that you

the salmon posts I started salivating. I love salmon. I started to buy some this past week and the cheapest I could find for fillets was over $20 for a small sickly looking fillet. I would have needed more than one of those for 6 people so I passed. Hopefully, it will go down soon. In the meantime, I'll have to stick to patties too, but I love them made the way you described. |

Delta had problems too - must have been some board maintenance. Glad you're here and glad to read your grats! |
I hadn't thought of the doctor as having ruled out things but that's a BETTER way of looking at it! I'm frustrated that he doesn't have a definitive answer but you are RIGHT there are lots of things that it is NOT Appreciate the other side viewpoint. Love you!
