The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

Reading all your grateful this morning. |
Though my son and his family had decided to stay home and do nothing yesterday they showed up about dinner time. Good thing that we had a WW friendly meal and plenty of it for them as well as me.
I am getting tired of desserts. Well, I am getting tired of WW friendly desserts. They all have weird textures and leave a weird aftertaste. I have never noticed stevia and artificial sugars having a weird aftertaste before now. It must have been all the diet sodas I used to drink all the time, about 2 liters a day. I have tried several WW desserts lately and nothing is enjoyable. I think I am going to just stick to fruit if I have a need for dessert. I know from experience that after not having real desserts for a while that they will taste overly sweet and not be satisfying either.
Finding WW recipes that the whole family likes. It makes meal time so much easier.
Getting things accomplished that have been bugging me for a long time.

- had such a great time with Mom yesterday. There was a cookout potluck at her apartment. They had |
entertainment. A fabulous talented country, blue grass, soul etc singer. Love listening. Mom didn't want to go there... Murr and I talked her into it. She had fun and enough strength to do it. They all sang Happy Birthday to her. It was great. & she loved it. Grateful.

I'm feeling pretty good. |
The fireworks are over for another year. Have I mentioned how much I dislike them???? lol
The heatwave is supposed to break later today.....maybe some much-needed rain...(?)
It's just been way too hot to eat. Im putting some country ribes in the crockpot, and (maybe) we'll have a real dinner for a change. Lots of cold applesauce to go with it!
Our great neighbors....they love spoiling me!
Glad to hear you're doing well!

Glad for a quiet bbq and family day of just John Mom and I. We didn't invite anyone because I wanted the day, or what she could manage of it, with her |
Thankful for 12 step meetings online. I've done 2 and know food addiction runs deep.
Wonderful vegetables starting to come from our little garden. Peppers, cherry tomatoes, green beans starting and can't wait for all my heirloom tomatoes
Carbsmart ice cream! Love it
My family here.
Do you have Halotop Ice Cream there?

I haven't had it but have heard it's darned good. I don't think we have "carbsmart" here but I know I wouldn't be able to stick to a reasonable serving. I'd eat the whole thing! |
Glad to hear you had a nice day with hubby and your Mom!

a new morning |
the 4th dinner here last night...such a sense of community here
glenda coming to eat with me
ate a couple of bites of my pie. i am amazed that i was able to let it go. change is possible. it was something i wanted but did not feel like the last piece of pie i'd ever have the chance to eat. i used to feel that way and ate so fast that i didn't even taste or enjoy anything. i inhaled the food in a panic. so so grateful for God's grace and for change. haven't arrive, but some things have changed. grateful.
reality...living in what IS today. dad always said -it is what it is- and lived with acceptance and serenity and took what came in life and lived his best whatever came. that's my goal.
delta's posts...so good and always helpful
the reality that 3 of us are no longer here but are in heaven now...we were blessed to know each of them. we only have this one day to treasure each other, yall. i am grateful for each of you.
Sense of community

I love the sounds of where you are living! I would want to live there too - lots to do if you want to and if not, that's ok too! |
And on the pie, trust me I know how amazing this must feel. I admire you ~ I'm not there but that's got to be an INCREDIBLE feeling to be able to say "no".

1) knowing Shirley is here at the same time posting grats and I'll be able to read them and smile |
2) Dr B's nurse called yesterday just to go through medications and anything I need to know before surgery on July 25th
3) got strengthening exercises from physio and he changed a setting on my TENS machine and gave me some of the gel to use at home
4) ANOTHER gorgeous hot sunny day here today
5) MRI got moved to next Thursday for shoulder / bicep instead of August 31 and I could not be happier. This means I'll have lots of information for the pain specialist to review when I see her August 1
