The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

Another day the Lord has made to rejoice in. |
Waking up feeling nearly normal physically. It has been so long since I could say that.
Still loving my short hair. I was afraid that I wouldn't like it.
Living in a flyway with a wildlife refuge near. We get to see many birds that are not native to our area during the winter and summer migration.
Family dispersed to swim and golf yesterday afternoon and I elected to stay home and read my new book on the patio. It was getting a good breeze occasionally and the temps were much cooler than we have had so it was nice to me, even though the heat index was still in the 90s. I had a bowl of cold watermelon, my good mystery book, and the birds. No one was mowing until very late in the afternoon. My cousin keeps telling me, always shocked because she does have a house in a more rural setting and it is noisier, that it is like being in the country instead of a city subdivision here. I even dozed for a bit. It was perfect for me.

1. A beautiful Sunday morning! |
2. Son in law came over yesterday to help put 4 tires on a truck we bought that Ken hopes to sell at some point. Right now his truck is down due to brake line problems, so he is going to drive this other truck! So thankful for Roger helping Ken as he couldn’t do much with his screwed up back!
3. Nice visit with the youngest daughter while the guys were changing the tires.
4. Finding 4 used tires that were affordable and in good shape! We had been looking forever and not having much luck!
5. Having another day off with Ken. Not sure what we are doing, but we will do it together and that will be nice!
It's good that Ken has the other

I know that you are going to have a great week with him. I know what you mean about the day after your weigh in. A friend and I used to stop and get pizza on the way home from weigh in. Although I was in a habit of eating just 2 slices of pizza ever, after starting WW that time I always seemed to eat 4 slices after my weigh in. I guess my weirdly wired brain thought I was making up for all the food I didn't eat that week. |
Hey, beverly . .

I was born in Toledo almost 76 years ago. I moved to Michigan when I was 19. Many of my family members are still in the Toledo area. I haven't been there since my dad passed.... August, 2001. It's on my bucket list to visit the north end ( Point Place)one more time. lol |
As a matter of fact, I was supposed to be there yesterday for a reunion with my half-siblings; but, due to the eye surgery, I couldn't attend. Bummer.

Sue's grats bring back so many memories. Since I won't be able to afford to go overseas again for a couple of years, maybe my trip next year will be to South Bend and Chicago to visit friends with a wide loop to the lake! |
Beautiful weather again today. So much to do because I did nothing yesterday...ttk, my yard needs mowing very badly! My bottom line goals for today are to bathe Charlie, wash his bedding and the sofa cover, finish my notes for work.
Meeting Jenee for breakfast brunch
Weekends...I really miss my Mondays off
Beatiful breezey weather to have the windows open to air out the house (today, too). But, then, a neighbor a few doors down decided it was the perfect day for burning. Are you freakin' kidding me...One day, beautiful breeze (fire risk as well) and had to close them for awhile because of the smoke!!!grrrr
Your weather sounds

wonderful. I'll just have to live vicariously through you, though it wasn't horrible here early and late yesterday.|
I'm happy my words

A beautiful, quiet Sunday morning on the lake. Who could ask for anything more??? |
The vision is slowly returning to my left eye. It's improving day by day. My balance is still totally off, tho.
Such a great visit with the kids and grands yesterday. They tried to do it all.....pontoon ride, swimming, kayaking, cooking. Bill and Scott cleaned all the boats and water toys....getting ready for next Saturday's birthday party.
We have 2 stunning blue heron visit us almost every morning....so regal....they love to sit on the deck of the pontoon boat. Sophie loves wathing them, too.
I'm blessed......and I am totally thankful for all my many blessings. Life is good.
It's great that you are recovering

as well as you are. From what I have heard it seems as if you are recovering faster than a lot of people. |
I love blue herons too. We used to have a pair that visited us every year and spent a few weeks at the lake across the street. The female stopped coming about 5 years ago, I guess she died. The male still returns and makes a nest every year. He seems so sad to me. I love sitting on the porch watching them.
