When I'm not an emotional mess|
Yes, I'm in.

I'm the one that has trouble getting in points on good foods because I can just eat from the free list since I don't do a lot of fat, grains, or milk, but when I have all those points it is hard not to just fill them up with junk foods like a dessert or a few cookies every day. But if I did that I would eat mostly that and leave off the real food because I am having trouble tasting most things except sweet and salty, everything else is a bit bland or bitter. I am learning to have a lot of Mexican foods and some Italian because I can taste them so it is getting better. |
Oh, and I have only tried the connect

board once. I find the WW app a bit frustrating to use. I guess it would get better with use, but I just don't like dealing with it right now. Maybe I will just have to use it a bit more to get the hang of it and it won't be so frustrating but I haven't had much time lately. |

I went to the board and I can't find the search bar that says members and #. The only search bars I can find are for food, weight, and activity. On the connect board I am just getting whatever pops up, because I am not following anyone I am sure, but I can't find anyone either. I also have a great deal of trouble finding the place to put recipes in so that I can figure points and many other things that used to be so easy to find. This new board just frustrates me to no end and is practically useless to me. I feel totally stupid. Maybe I am trying to use the old board and this is not it or maybe I am totally stupid. |
Okay, I found the problem

You can only do a search on connect on the phone right now. I can't read the phone for that, too darn small when there are lots of words on the screen. I only use my phone for the scanner. Oh, well. It would be a nice feature for the computer. |
Darn! Iím sorry...

You canít access the search bar on your computer! I always use either my iphone or my iPad and they are on there. I totally understand about having trouble seeing the words on your phone! Mine is hard to read at times too! Thatís why I like my iPad so much-I can see things so much better! |
I have some frozen, boneless, skinless chicken tenders that I should cook off this afternoon, but I am just being too lazy! If I bake off a bunch of them I would have them to eat throughout the week! Might have to get up and do that. It would only take a minute to put them in the oven! I also like to buy Butterball turkey patties. They are in the frozen section and I believe there are 6 to a box. My favorite are the sweet onion seasoned ones and one patty is 5 points. Jenni-o also has good turkey patties and I believe the all white meat ones are 4 points each! Maybe you could pick up some of those and grill them off (I use my Goerge Foreman grill) for a meal? You could top it with some grilled or raw onions, peppers, and bbq sauce or salsa to help bring out the flavors! Not sure if you have an Aldiís where you live, but I have also found some Kirkwood brand chicken skewers that are 2 points each that are very tasty as well. They have regular and a spicy one that are really good. When I make them, I eat 2 skewers giving me 4 points on my protein. Just a few thoughts from me. I certainly understand your struggle with the points!

I read on my tablet or computer all the time now that my eyesight is going. I got a notice from my phone company because the youngest used it as a hotspot coming back from my mother's to play games. I never go online with it so I don't use data. They thought someone had stolen it I guess. They just kept sending me notices wanting to know if I was using it. |
I keep a big bag of boneless, skinless chicken breasts from Sam's in the freezer and my son had recommended the Butterball turkey patties so I got them. I have a George Foreman that I use a lot. I also like to put several chicken breasts on the grill or in the oven so that I have some already cooked for several days. I usually keep boiled eggs in the fridge too. Since my stomach doesn't like a lot of raw fruit and veggies so I keep those to meal time and snack on chicken, turkey or boiled eggs when I need a snack. I am also forgetful of eating when I am busy then I come to the kitchen starving and don't want to wait for food to cook so having some in the fridge keeps me from eating from the kid's snack shelf.
Something I also like to do is put 4 large breasts in the crockpot (no need to thaw if it is frozen) add a package of 0 point taco seasoning and add one or two cups of salsa. This stores for several days and also freezes well. I make all kinds of casserole and soups out of it on the spur of the moment. I add black beans and fiesta corn (which I almost always have on hand) for a quick grab (heat or don't depending on the mood), The kids like it on a tortilla shell with a dab of sour cream and cheese and heated in the quesadilla maker or on a taco shell. I also like it over salad greens. It's also good over rice and quinoa, which I love, but don't keep on hand because my husband is diabetic and a carb addict so he would have it every meal if it was in the fridge. It's really versatile and I can taste it.
Good to know about the chicken skewers from Aldi's. Thanks for the heads up. We don't have one around us but there is one beside Harbor Freight Tools and Lowe's about 25 minutes across the city and my husband has to go to one or the other almost weekly. I have a cooler bag in my car so I could get some and a bag of ice. I saw a post on Doing WW at Aldi's on Pinterest that I am going to have to look over so that I can get a few more things the next time we go.
