The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

hoping this is a good day food wise for you, sweet friend. 25 lbs on quickly but it will come off fast with keto. i get how hard it is with pain and my pain wasn't even chronic like yours. i am here in your corner...we all are.|
I agree with Shirley

And as she said yesterday, recovery is one choice away. I have to admit that I have been making bad choices since Saturday. When 12 pounds shows up on the scale in a matter of hours and tries to hang around it is almost a license to eat the way you want because it doesn't seem to matter anyway or so it seems. But it does matter. Every choice matters, good or bad. It's just us choosing one bite at a time. How about we both turn this around today?|
Too late for a keto day

but not too late for a good day. I know how you feel - trust me - except I "deserve" it. |
Had a whole wheat wrap at lunch which was 28 carbs so that was the end of a "keto" day. Also a lot of grapes. But although not keto, still a good healthy day.
We've got this and my friend who I had coffee with today said the same more or less - I can choose to eat differently. I can't control my surgeries but I can control my food.

How many carbs do you get in a day?|
Most people go for 20

I have gone for 30 in the past but now that I am not exercising I'll probably try to shoot for 20 as well.|
That sounds like...

The Atkins diet. I know with Medifast when I did it, they told us we would lose the best keeping our carbs between 80-100 grams a day. |
I am not sure of the difference to be honest

But 80-100 sounds excellent as well. I think most of us don't realize how many carbs are in the stuff we eat. Knowledge truly is step 1 for all of us in finding what works|
Did a little google

Pretty similar, you're right. There are "phases" in Atkins but none in Keto. In keto, carbs are about 5 percent of your daily intake. Seventy-five percent of your remaining calories will come from fat and 20 percent from protein|

I'm ashamed of how quickly I gained and how I've let things go. I'm honoured to have you and the ladies to support me.|
I understand completely, Krista.

I, too, have let the built-up stress and anxiety lead me to eating everything and anything.....without control. I haven't stepped on the scale in over a month because I'm afraid of what I'll see. So, with all the health issues you're dealing with, I sure can relate to your mental state....and over-eating. Here's to brighter (and LIGHTER)days ahead! |

It was not. I am meeting up with a keto 'hero' of mine who lost 130+ lbs in the past year to hope that she will inspire me to get back on track. I feel horrible and I know that changing back to keto will work and it's what I need to do, but I am just so caught up in the pain right now. |
I have to start again. Today. Thank you for caring.
And I binged last night for the first time in awhil

For me it was getting on the scale and seeing a 5 pound weight gain for no reason. It was definitely a f this moment. Today is better. Just move forward. This is going to be a stressful time for you. Don't make it worse bu not taking care of yourself. Love you |
