The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

at only 53 that is NOT FAIR AT ALL. |
I don't know how this relates to sciatica pain.
Mine comes and goes and it is THE WORST..so I feel you LITERALLY.
But at least at this point I don't have it for weeks on end as I have I the past.
I know being active helps but you can't walk around (nor do you want to) 24 hours a day...and if you can't sleep well it is even harder to deal with the awful pain.
I would ask how you do it but I know the answer is what choice do you have, right?
I am sure you have tried everything by now.
Do you have any stretches you can do at home. I know it sounds too simplistic but it can ease things a bit .
I will keep you in my thoughts and my prayers.
I hope you can get some relief : (
an I want to add

I have sciatica too, my back is a disaster. Have to have some kind of humor! I dont stretch enough im sure. thanks for the suggestion. I will tell you, in case it might help you, my pain doc who I go to for the injections suggested chair yoga for stretching and pain help. He said it does help??? I have no idea but I am going to try, it can't hurt.. |
I have done some

gentle chair yoga. |
Honestly I thought I wouldn't get mucb out of it
but it was very nice.
My teacher no longer does it so Ill have to research it.
I doubt we think to stretch enough.
I think I remember Beverly stretching?
I am sure you have tried everything and I sure don't want to come off as a know it all.
I just feel so bad for you and I wish I could help.
That pain is the worst in my book.
Keep working on it and keep us posted.
Paula, they didn't help much !! the first steroid shots I ever had that didn't help much

Krista, im sorry you can relate too
Posted by cindyh on 11/12/2018, 8:32 pm, in reply to "So sorry to hear this"
unfortunately I think we get used to the pain, sometimes I wonder why it seems there are 2 sets of people? Those that get autoimmune disorders and arthritis and have a lot of pain as they age and those that can dance in their 90s like they were 20!! I suppose its for a reason, although I dont know why. I am glad we aren't quitters Krista!!! |
