The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

Blew leaves for about 3 hours yesterday and don't feel like I'm going to die today! My right scapula hurts but my elbow and foot aren't as bad as I thought they would be. My pile is almost 3 feet high all along the front of my yard...not just one big pile, but all along. I think I still have about 40% of the leaves still on the trees! |
The new blower is light and powerful. Don't like that it is corded but the gas ones are too heavy and the cordless aren't strong enough to move these piles of leaves.
Going to the opera with Deborah today
Autumn...going to hang my outdoor Thanksgiving flag today.
I love working in my yard (when it isn't really, really hot). Hope my body holds up at least to the point it is now...not great, but can still do a lot of things on my own
Can I ask a dumb question?...

Where do you blow your leaves too? Do you blow them in a pile and then rake them or what? We have always raked our leaves in a pile and then picked them up, or we have used the riding lawn mower to suck them up and then we bag them. Iíve never heard of anyone blowing their leaves. Just wondering if it is something to do with the area you are from or what? |

It was new to me too until I moved here. My neighborhood has so many trees that we blow them to the front of the property line and the city comes and vacuums them up. If there are any that fall after that, we have to bag them. It would take forever to have to bag them.|
How wild is that? ...

I am glad you explained that! I have never heard of any city doing that. Very awesome that they do! |
Same here BUT

If the wind blows before the city comes of boy!! I've raked or blown all life!! We usually now mow at the end of the season, now, with a mulchine blade on the mower. So good for the yard then what is on the edges, porches etc we blow into piles and bag them. |

1) reading Shirley's grats to start my day |
2) getting some meals cooked ahead today. I work the next 15 days in one job or the other and I just don't want to have any excuses with food
3) compliments from friends who listen to me on the radio and even from listeners I've yet to meet. It "puffs me up" with pride
4) scale is moving DOWN and it's just the motivation I need to keep on keeping on
5) feeling good getting chores done - laundry, dishwasher going, bed about to be changed. I'm big on checking things off my mental to do list
