The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

It's true... a person gets to talk to so many people when someone dies. It's nice to have that chance to connect. |
Mike and family are coming to Mom's funeral. It will be nice to see them as always.
The biggest gift that Murray & I received from our parents is that they preplanned there funerals. It's so wonderful to have all those desicions all ready made. Grateful

It's a sunny day. |
Slept well last night.
Heated mattress pad. We keep the bedroom cool and I love it but I hat crawling between icy sheets. I heat the bed then when I crawl in I turn it off. It's perfect.
Shirley got her Keurig replaced. *\0/*
Watching the college bowl games with my husband yesterday and last night.
Fresh pecans right off the trees. This is pecan country and some friends get the kids to help pick up pecans on their farm (they have a lawnmower looking contraption kinda like driving ranges use to pick up golf balls and the kids love driving it) then give us as much as we want and give the kids some to sell and make some money to pay them for helping. It's a win-win situation all around.
That first cup of coffee in the morning.
My mother is feeling better than she has in ages. She has been enjoying my cousin being there. Unfortunately, my cousin's house should be move in ready in a couple of weeks. I know that Mama is going to miss her being there. Usually, I can't get off the phone with her, no matter how long we talk she seems depressed when I need to hang up and tries to make me feel sorry for her. Lately, she doesn't have time to even talk to me. A few minutes into our conversation she tells me she needs to get off, click. LOL

I am also glad to hear about the Keurig. |
Food tastes so good but the feeling of being in control is nice too....I haven't felt that much lately.
I am hoping your success (I think of it often having known you a while) will help encourage me to do better this coming year.

Cinq Choses Pour Moi

1) got back on track somewhat on Thursday. Scales are slowly moving down again which is good to see. Still up over 50 lbs since the summer but I have to focus on the future. I'm thankful I didn't wait longer to get back even somewhat on track |
2) a friend dropped off some "chaga". They are mushrooms from birch trees with healing properties. I am at my absolute wit's end with the pain now so I have to try something new. Investigating now but I you make "tea" with it - warm not boiling water and steep for at least an hour before drinking
3) also making an appointment to see a physiotherapist to get some advice on my tingling / numb hands and fingers and now pain in my feet. This remains a mystery and I need help. The hands has been ongoing since Sept 2017 (!!!). There has to be something to help me!
4) one more week at the radio before the regular fulltime morning guy (Jim) comes back from sick leave. 7 weeks of "full time" and it was so much fun being there!
5) my supportive husband. He's been there for me every step of the way in this ####ed up journey of pain since Sept 2017. Thankfully, the lapband removal and knee surgery were done in 2018 and hopefully we can resolve the rest early in 2019

I know it must be so frustrating. |
All you want is an answer so what needs to be done can be done and the pain be gone.
You are waay too young to suffer this way.
Im praying for you to get the the answers you need this year.

I just can't believe all the options we've been through to no avail. Toradol, Celebrex, muscle relaxants, Lyrica, Elavil, Gabapentin, cortisone shots (2), massage, physio, acunpuncture, chiro, CBD oil and everything over counter imaginable. SWEET BABY JESUS! There's something wrong with me that NONE of these help! |
Thanks for your support - it does get old whining about it all the time!

doctors been thinking that your tingling was a result of your shoulder pain or did they treat it as a case all on it's own? Peripheral neuropathy takes a lot of sleuthing to find the cause of. Since it is starting in your feet it obviously has nothing to do with your shoulder. My mother has nerve damage from surgery that causes it in her feet. She hasn't gotten relief from any conventional medication but her doctor suggested Cobroxin or Neuragen. She has been able to get relief from both of them. Since they are topical it took about two weeks to start helping and if she misses putting it on of course it comes back. It doesn't cure anything but it does knock the pain down to where she can have a life. I have no idea if they are available in Canada. |

They have no idea - I haven't been back since I went to see the pain specialist so we haven't discussed it again. I will check with them on the topicals - thank you so much for this suggestion!|
YAY re the Keurig!
