The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

of a Buckeye fan but I am glad that coach Meyer got to fulfill his bucket list and finally make it to the Rose Bowl and that he went out on a win. |

I'm happy he got his win, too! A good way to end his career as coach. I was born in Toledo, so I guess that makes me an official "Buckeye".|

Another day that started with a clean slate to start again. |
My grandson seemed to have a good birthday. He didn't want a cake, he wanted cheesecake so his mother took him shopping to pick out what he wanted (what she had gotten for him didn't fit) for his birthday present and then to Cheesecake Factory by himself for one on one time. He seemed to like being treated as more of an adult this birthday. It's hard to believe that he is almost grown. Time goes so fast.
My middle grandson is beginning to act so much more responsibly. This is the second time this week that he has taken on responsibilities without being asked when for the past couple of years seems like he whines and gripes and is surly if he is asked to do something. Youngest burst a squeeze type stress ball and it made a big dark blue blob on the living room carpet. I was cooking dinner. Without being asked the middle boy just calmly stopped what he was doing, went and got a pan of hot water and some towels and went to work and told me to finish what I was doing. I was almost surprised that when I walked into the room he had almost all the blue blob out of the carpet without soaking it in the process. We finished getting the blue out and put towels down and he jumped up and down on it until it was dry. It looks fine this morning and I am so proud of him.
That dreams are just dreams. I dreamed that I hit a young boy riding a bike as I was driving on a multilane highway. I managed to get off the highway and turn around to come back. He was moving and talking when I got there but I woke up so I never got to see if he was indeed going to be okay. My whole day has had a feeling of doom and gloom over it because of that dream.
School started back today. Schedules can resume. I may fight them but I do much better with schedules.
It's so quiet here. My ears seem to be relieved but the quiet is kinda hard to get used to after having three and four boys running around here for two weeks, not to mention that the weeks before there was construction going on here. No wonder my ears have been hurting.
Krista has her shoulder surgery scheduled.
Paula got her job offer and has resigned the place that was making her miserable.
Sue gets more time with Scott.

Letter came, resignation in, letter of acceptance faxed, start date January 28th |
Taking 2 days off between jobs
Colds get better eventually. I got it bad.
Krista's surgery is scheduled
Job should motivate me to get healthier as I will be running in/out of people's houses all day and don't want to worry about 'fitting ' in tight spaces or if a chair will hold me or not. What a way to be living!
SO happy to hear this!!!!!

I think you've hit the Jackpot, so to speak. I am thrilled that you have this job that you dearly love. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!|

I think if I was you that I would have given a two-week notice and been out of there until time to go to the new job. Ten days off sounds much better than two. |
As far as the getting healthier goes it is a good time since the world and all of us here on the board seems to be focusing on that right now. Let's go!

Took my morning walk yesterday (about 4 miles). It felt good getting out in the fresh air. I've been remiss lately. |
Scott called to say he's coming out for Super Bowl. His flight is all set. He'll be here with us for 6 day.....yippee!
Had a fun night at the casino.....hadn't been out in over a week. We didn't win, but it was still a fun time.
Katie is babysitting a 4 year old while his mom's at work.....her first real babysitting job. She's lovin' it. It's only for 3 days...until school starts back up.
A pork roast that I cooked a different way....in the slow cooker with honey, soy sauce, a few other ingredients and spices. It was shredded and served in the sauce.....very tasty with rice. Bill thought it was great! I'll definitely make it again.
Having more than enough.....I'm most grateful for my life....
