The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

Monday is my WW weigh in day and I was down exactly 2 pounds plus that 6 pounds the steroids put on me temporarily last week. So grateful to see some results of being more diligent. I had gotten sloppy in tracking. |
My cousin that I am so close to is finally getting scheduled to get her knees replaced that have been bone on bone for at least two years. I hope that she gets a good a result as her mother and my mother.
I called my mother on Saturday after Christmas. She only talked a few minutes and had to hang up because she had to do something with my cousin that is living there. She said she would call me back. She still hasn't. We text a few times a day but she keeps saying when things settle down that she will call me. I love it that she is so busy. Most of the time after an hour and a half or longer she makes me feel guilty because I have to get off the phone and that is every few days. I love it that she is not into crafts and painting and so many other things. She is also learning to harvest things from Goodwill and use things from Dollar Tree for the crafts so that she can do them within her budget so she can keep doing them.
The trash men and that they are getting back on schedule today. With the holidays we had more trash than usual as well as recyclables but trash running later for two weeks really made it difficult to get everything in the can. Although they turn a blind eye during Christmas season we get fined if our lid will not close or if we have extra trash around our can.
Pinterest. I love that I can follow people that are creating good WW foods and meal plans and new ones from them just keep popping up in color. Much better than just bookmarking. I am seriously thinking about just making a WW board to grab the ones I want to try but making separate boards for each meal or breaking it down into categories like a cookbook. I am getting a good amount of recipes that even the kids will eat so no separate meals.

only 2 pounds. The others came on Tuesday after a steroid shot and left by today. I'm just glad they are gone. It was mostly in my hands, ankles and face. |
Stop shortselling yourself.

Today we're celebrating Scott's 50th birthday.....love that boy so much! |
So grateful to Scott's birth parents who gave us the most precious gift imaginable all those years ago. I think of them often....especially his mom. I think of her every year on Jan. 7 and wish I could tell her all about this wonderful boy/man.
Beautiful sky this morning....huge pink clouds everywhere.
Aleve! It sure helps with the aches and pains in my legs, knees and hips. Wonderful at bedtime.
Sophie Rose....our faithful companion! She follows us like a shadow - -
Happy Birthday to Scott :)

All the support from you guys. I did not come from a kind family. It was never safe to have needs, to be vulnerable, to express doubts/fears. Strong and stalwart. Just dawned on me while writing this that being a therapist actually reinforces this. I am the wise one. I help lift you up. I am kind and supportive in a role where healthy boundaries assure that I never expect anything back from clients. |
Just sharing was motivating. Got some stuff done...enough to make me feel like I did something, including setting my pill boxes up.
2 1/2 weeks to go here
Made a calendar from my trip photos
Just thankful for you
And we're thankful for you, Paula.....

1) a member at the gym stopped by the front desk to comment to the other folks working that I was a hard worker. I make sure the floor is cleaned (e.g. weights, machine "parts", paper towel), that the laundry is always on the go (towels) and that the water bottles (for cleaning machines) are always full. It's nice when a member notices that and comments. |
2) another 2 weeks at the radio station. I do love being on the air ♥
3) 2 weeks from tomorrow is my rotator cuff / bicep surgery. Hard to believe this surgery only takes about an hour and you're in and out the same day. Can't wait to get on the road to recovery!
4) a friend is bringing me a bunch of mystery books to the radio station today. I'll have lots to read when I'm recovering. Will be interesting to see how I can hold book and turn pages though!
5) Paula's going to a new job and I'm so happy for her. Wishing you all the best Paula and MUCH better days ahead!
