The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

Seed catalogs -- makes these dreary days seem more hopeful |
We had some nuts getting old so I threw them around outside the window beside my computer desk. It took the squirrels only a short time to find them and they have been so much fun to watch.
The storms that we had last night were brutal but I haven't heard of any damage from them.
The scale is up 6 pounds today after starting the steroids this week. Sheesh! The grateful is that I am starting them after the stomach virus caused such a loss that was mostly fluid anyway. The scale is still showing me down a pound from my last WW weigh in. It may not stop here and I may not even show a loss at Monday's weigh-in but it is not as disheartening to suddenly gain back what it took three weeks to lose by starting those things. I was expecting to gain some water weight anyway so what has come so far isn't bothering me as bad.
This week is bringing big, hopefully, great changes to Paula and Krista.

Krista's surgery is next week...final piece of the puzzle. |
It's the weekend. I am so ready but not equipped to retire or to only work part time. Hopefully, I'll enjoy what I'm doing so much that the next 3 years will be enjoyable (only a social worker would describe working with dying people as 'enjoyable'; guess a better word is meaningful which is satisfying at a deep level. One of the things I hate about my current job is that I am not particularly good at it and the way the program is structured impedes helping anyone.
Hot coffee on long weekend mornings.
A good chiro who I hope to see later this morning
Hot showers and clean hair

not as enjoyable as it would seem to be. Unless you have a large number of friends that are also not working or taking care of a family member it gets awfully lonely, depressing and unfulfilling very quickly without that forced daily interaction and something that has to be done. It's easy to withdraw and to not even do the things that need doing around the house. If you have three years before retirement then plan for it now. Start taking classes in things that interest you. Take up new hobbies that have like-minded people meeting in your area, join a church group, develop a close-knit group of friends to do things with. STart doing it soon because it is so hard to start after retirement. |

1) working at the radio station today. It's a much more relaxed pace on the weekends and I do a lot of artist information with the songs which I enjoy sharing |
2) Ray is making a turkey dinner for us this weekend and then is making a double batch of fat flush soup and turkey soup and we're both getting on track together on Monday
3) 3 more sleeps 'til surgery
4) Bioelements skin moisture lotion and face cleansing lotion. It's the only thing "pricey" that I use on myself to be honest but I love the smell of their stuff and how it works
5) people who believe that I can "come back" to where I was (weight, exercise, positivity, teaching classes) even when I have lost the faith.

we have to let others carry us for awhile (says the one who fights that like a wild cat!!). You can and you will!|
You are going through

a lot and you know it is hard to try to do a ton of things at once. |
Your knee is done and the sleeve is reversed and soon your shoulder will be done ..little by little. So much of this is out of your control.
We go through good and bad and positive and negative. With the kind of person you are (an amazing one) you will get there.
Though it is hard at times... have faith in the situation and YOU.

as you go through life at this time in such a smaller size. |
I hope it makes everything easier for you.
You worked hard, no doubt, to get here....be proud and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
