The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

Sun is shining and it is not so cold out there. We are supposed to have more winter storms later today/tonight. I have seen more winter weather this year than I have seen in over 30 years. I love my temperate winter days with sunshine. |
My husband has been doing a lot of little honey do things for the past couple of weeks around the house and getting some TV or game time in between. I can tell his is not feeling up to par yet because he isn't pushing to do the big things and he naps awhile every time he sits down. I am glad that he is listening to his body and trying to heal before he goes back at it hard again. He usually pushes too hard and gets sicker.
A good night of sleep again. So grateful to be able to go to sleep and stay asleep for a decent amount of time.
The magic of dishwashers. It seems amazing when you think about it that we can put dirty dishes into a cabinet at night, push a button and the next morning have all clean dishes again.
Watched Rogue one and then the original Star Wars trilogy yesterday. I have always meant to do that, even bought them with that in mind and no telling how many times they have done marathons on TV. Just never have been able to sit down and watch all of them. Yesterday was perfect timing.
Ahhhh the magic of dishwashers indeed! ...

I love mine! Not that I minded doing dishes by hand, but it sure is nice to load them up and push a button! |
I hope your husband gets to feeling 100% soon. Iím glad heís taking it easy and not pushing himself too much.

1. Starting my day texting with Adam. He was on break and told me itís -32 degrees there and with the wind is even colder! Brrrrr! I canít imagine weather that cold! Loved chatting with him! |
2. The ability to do 30 minutes of movement (trying this term over exercise!) yesterday! I know I can do this, even if I divide it up into 3 ten minute sessions! I looked back at my weigh ins and I first got into the 230ís in September of 2018 and have spent the last 5 months in them! I need to kick this into gear and get my weight past the 230ís! On 2/15 I will be starting my 4th year doing weight watchers and I would love to be in the 220ís by then!
3. Krista doing fantastic after her surgery! I am so glad that she is healing nicely!
4. Paula starting her new job! Love that she is on a new adventure!
5. Spending the day with my guy! I am so blessed by so many things in my life, and am so grateful to have Ken by my side. And of course I canít mention blessings without mentioning all of you ladies! I love you all so much!

It's Sunday......heading to the grocery store and then just chillin' the rest of the day. |
Navel Oranges....big, juicy navel oranges....so yummy.
Beautiful Vegas skies....such a variety of colors.
That first cup of morning coffee....nothing like it!
Today....and all it brings.

I have never been to Las Vegas, but have always wanted to go just to see all the lights on the strip at night! How many years have you spent your winters there? |
Loved the pics of Sophie that were on Facebook. Such a pretty girl! She makes me smile just seeing her pictures. I canít imagine what kind of joy she brings you every day. Did you get her when she was just a puppy?
Have a great Sunday!

We have wintered in Vegas for about 20 years -- we bought the house the year Bill retired. We had been living in Detroit while he was on the Fire Dept. but also had the place on the lake. We sold the Detroit house....moved to the cottage and bought the house in Vegas. So, we've been doing this for 20 years. |
Glad you enjoyed the pictures of Sophie. She's a rescue from Vegas. She was around 3 when we adopted her....and we've had her 3 years. Yep, she brings us so much joy and entertainment...

Having brunch with Jenee today. Looking forward to seeing and to their green tomato benedict eggs with a cajun-flavored sauce. I know it sounds disgusting but it is so good! |
Washed all my clothes yesterday. Later, I am going through what I have to see what fits, goes together and needs to be ironed (I am not kidding when I say I tend to iron more wrinkles into clothes than out!). Everything is so tight. I did buy 2 new pair of pants.
I've had Amazon Prime for years and never watched anything from Prime. I watched my first episode of Downton Abbey last night. I think I'll like it. I've also started watching Outlander on Starz. I read the first 3 books and got tired of it. It's a lot of 'maiden in distress' and very hot sex scenes. The guy who plays the lead is the perfect mix of manly and cute.
Start my new adventure tomorrow.

I have a lot of friends that LOVE Downton Abbey. I havenít started watching it yet, but might have to! I am so excited for you to be starting your new job! Iím glad you picked up a couple of pairs of new pants. I say go buy a couple of new tops to go with them! A new job warrants new stuff! You will do great! |

1) a great night's sleep |
2) typing some with both hands now
3) Ray cooking turkey soup today
4) no drinking since last Sunday - this is HUGE for us! (Love my coolers!)
5) Paula starting her new job this week. SO HAPPY FOR HER!

You are doing great on so many levels! So excited that you are healing so fast! AND that you have put the coolers on hold for a while! That is awesome! I love margaritas, but havenít had one in a couple of years. They just arenít worth the points (23) for me to have them. I just told myself that for now (not forever) I am going to pass on them. And believe it or not, Iím not that crazy about having one when I eat Mexican food like I used to. Iím not saying I wonít ever have one again, itís just not whatís best for my program right now. |
Have you thought any more about doing Weight Watchers? I think you and Ray would find it a very livable plan. And you get 42 extra points a week that would allow you to have your coolers if you wanted to, you would just have to figure out the points. I looked up Mikes Lite Hard Lemonade because I thought Iíve heard you talk about them and one bottle = 5 points. So you could incorporate them or even your coolers into your plan if you wanted to. You have to find what works for YOU! Just know we are all cheering you on!
