The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

Threw in the towel and went to the doctor yesterday to see if I had pneumonia. She said that I was not moving air well and I was running a low grade fever so she sent me to get an X-Ray. I haven't heard from them yet but since they were closing as I walked out of the radiologists I didn't expect them to read it until today then it will have to go through the chain of everybody calling everybody. I'm grateful that if I do have pneumonia I will know about it before it gets worse and if a rib is broken that it will probably show up in the X-rays. |
They did a breathing treatment with a different medication than I have at home and I could breathe better when I left.
I didn't mention it but while I was there the doc sent a nurse in to swab me for flu and strep since she knew that it has been running virulent in my house.
Got a steroid/B-12/sinus shot so I am feeling on top of the world right now.
My son went to his doctor yesterday and was given a broader spectrum antibiotic. He had gone to the clinic on Saturday because he thought he had flu and strep but the flu was negative. His throat wasn't any better yesterday. Glad they are getting more aggressive with it. He is one of those that has to get so sick that he can hardly roll out of bed before he will admit to being sick let along go to the doctor. Twice in a week is unheard of.
Sorry that all this has been about our family recovering from illnesses and is depressing but we have had so much sickness here in the last three weeks. As a matter of fact, the whole area is thinking about closing schools because there is so much strep/flu going around and most people are having them at the same time. Running out of Tamiflu too. Beginning to save it for the elderly, babies and otherwise fragile health-wise.

Sure hope you're feeling better soon, Delta. You and your family have been through a lot!|

Yes, it has been a sickly month. There is so much going around here and with school children here everything going around seems to go through everyone here. Three weeks with a stomach virus that was more like food poisoning if it hadn't taken a week for everyone to get it. Then strep/flu combinations. We haven't seen our son in 2 weeks yet he has it too. He said that nearly all the people in his college classes are coming down with it too. You can't go anywhere here. The pharmacists are running out of meds. I haven't been out of the house except to go to doctors in three weeks. |
