I have a Henredon dining room table and chairs. The table finish appears to have melted in areas and has an imprint from the pads used by the furniture moving company. It also looks rubbed in some areas. When I polished the back of the chairs the finish and shine came off on the cloth. How do I take off the rubbed and rough areas from the table, restore the shine, and restore the color to the chairs? I believe the color finish is called fruitwood. The set was purchased in the late 1970's or early 1980's.
