Faded finish on Wood Entry Door's, interior Oak trim

We are looking for suggestions on what to use to revive the finish on our six panel entry doors, and also the six panel oak doors we have through out the house. The finish has become faded and very dried out looking. We're unsure how to approach the refinishing process. Is sanding and restaining and varnisihing going to be nessessary? Or is the product advertised on this web site really an easier way to repair the wood?
