WATER DAMAGE

I gave a poinsettia to a client for the holidays, it was in a green wood chip planter with a plastic liner. Evidently the liner had a leak and now they have a green water mark on a heavily shellaced or laquered wood (maybe mahogany) desk, can you help me? Please respond asap
