I'm a new woodworker; my brother-in-law asked me to replace some of the warped dashboard wood in his 1984 mercedes. It looks like rosewood. I can't unwarp it but I think I could make a replacement piece if I could replicate the rosewood look (rather than pay $$$ for real rosewood veneer).
Any tips or references available?
