My son purchased a used "solid oak" dining table. The table had several flaw on top and began sanding to remove them and refinish, but much to his surprise the top was pressed wood. Now the pressed wood is showing through. Is there any way to save this table short of a new table top or table cloth? What so manufacturers use to make the top look like oak?
