I bought a wooden armoire that looks beautiful, but smells like smoke from a fire. It was in a fire, but has no other damage. I cleaned it really well, but it still smells a little. I read something else about using Mineral Spirits and then something like Pledge with a lemony smell. I also read about the Wood Elixir? Which would you recommend? I bought a very expensive table and chairs from Italy. It is Brazilian wood which is very light in color with an extremely heavy beautiful lacquer finish. How should I clean and protect my lacquer finish? I was painting wine glasses at the table with an acrylic stain and placing the finished product on wax paper on top of my table. The next day I noticed a slight shade of pink from the stain underneath the heavy lacquer finish, but don't know how it got there. Can it be removed?
