We had a fire and are under insured. We have some 80 year old maple furniture....side board, hutch, dresser, and two twin beds that we are trying to save. They are black with soot and the smell is intense. We tried cleaning some maple chairs with trisodium phosphate and water and the results were terrible. The chairs were ruined. Is there any way to restore these pieces?
