GSN has aired a few of them in the past; I myself managed to tape a general 1972 episode and one from Dec. 1974 (either the last episode or close to it). There's also a kinescope floating around of a 1966 episode; it has a slightly different format, and Scott Beach is the announcer.

Yep, I heard the same thing you did; most of the old episodes are unviewable.
