Posted by GIS# 1829 on 9/14/2007, 12:12 pm Iguana age: 3 STL: 49" Gender: Male Reason for new needing a new home: I have two young children and too many other animals and have less time to spend with Bigums. He looks so sad when I have to run out the door. He needs attention on a more regular basis. Vet care and health history: Bigums has never been to a vet but needs to go and be checked out. i found one in LaGrange but could not keep the appointment. Bigums had a rocky start in life before I got him and may have some nutrition problems from his earlier years but I have heard it is not that expensive to rectify that. Diet: Collards, squash, green beans, whole grain bread and pasta, bananas, Iguana food from Bill's Pet shop, romaine lettuce, carrots for constipation, Zucchini, etc Habitat and living conditions: Bigums has his own room, which happens to be the laundry room which is rather large. He has a log to lie on and his uv light hangs overhead. He likes to be high so he climbs up on the deep freeze which sounds wierd but the top is not cold with the light on it. He uses the bathroom in the bathroom in his room. We put down plastic and he poops approximately every other day, here lately everyday Temperament: He is calm to be rubbed or get help with sheeding. He is not keen on being picked up but I do regulary with proper clothing such as gloves to avoid scratches and a coat because he likes to get on my shoulders. He has a leash to go outside and walk around but throws a fit when its time to come in. Handling: Not so much as he has gotten bigger. He is 4 feet and he acts like he does not want to be picked up. Most of the handling is rubbing him and talking to him while I do laundry. House broken: No House breaking details: As long as he is in his room he will go to the plastic but he rarely comes out of his room so he has pooped in the kitchen floor instead of his bathroom. Another reason he mainly stays in his room. Anything included with iguana: no Included with iguana: He has a dish that is actually to deep for him and I would rather him have a different one. His log is two years old and probably would do better being thrown away. I do have his clamp light that goes with him but thats about it. If you want the leash I will give that also. Willing to ship iguana: no Other information: Bigums before I got him a few years ago had it pretty tough and deserves all the love someone can give him. I hope there is someone out there with the time and understanding to take good care of him.
