Looking for a new home since 12-19-07
Iguana name: Beso
Iguana age: 3 years/2005
SVL: 10 inches
STL: 2'5''
Gender: Male
Reason for new needing a new home: I am beginning to travel a lot for work in addition to already working many hours out of my apartment and can no longer truly properly care for them the way they need to be cared for (ie. being fed on a more regular schedule, let them out of the cage occassionally, etc.)
Vet care and health history: Overall, Beso is a very healthy ig. He has gone to the Vet once for calcium deficiency, but quickly recovered after his diet was adjusted. Today, Beso is as healthy as can be.
Diet: Every day Beso eats either fresh Collard Greens or fresh Dandelion Greens. As a treat, he loves all kinds of fruit from blueberries to papaya, but his absolute favorite are raspberries.
Habitat and living conditions: Beso lives with one other iguana named Bana (same age). They live in a cage that was specially designed for the two of them. The cage is a converted wardrobe with a few branch pieces built into it. Eventually they will need a new cage because they are both growing, but this cage should suit them for a while.
Temperament: Beso is a sweet iguana who is usually calm. Upon meeting new people, he gets a bit scare and might try to run from someone. Mostly, he is easy going. He like to sit in front of the window most days and just soak up the sun.
Handling: Beso is used to being handled by only two owners. If handled everyday, he can adapt to a new person.
House broken: No
House breaking details: Beso usually goes in a small tub at the bottom of his cage, but has also gone occasionally other places in his cage.
Anything included with iguana: yes
Included with iguana: If you take both Beso and Bana, you can have their custom made cage, two feeding dishes, two lamps, a heating element, and their bathroom tub. If you only want Beso, you will have to provide for all listed items.
Willing to ship iguana: no
Other information: I would like to have Beso and Bana adopted by the same family seeing how they have been raised together.
Adoption application required - Please visit the following link for more information: http://www.greenigsociety.org/adoptap.htm
