GIS# 1939 Looking for a home since 7/3/08 Iguana name: Dolce Iguana age: 6 years STL: 49 inches Gender: Female Reason for new needing a new home: Her owner, our daughter, has moved to California and has no place to keep her. We only intended on having her until other arrangments could be made - that was over 4 years ago... Vet care and health history: She has had two check-ups and at both, the vet was impressed with her health and condition. She had a problem with the end of her tail breaking off and we appled a cream to it that the vet gave us. It has healed nicely. Diet: She loves kale, collard greens, cucumbers, yellow squash, zucchini, turnip and mustard greens and LOVES bananas. Habitat and living conditions: She has a 6'x6'x 4' foot walk in cage. She has a basking shelf where her food bowl is kept. She loves laying on a large stick on a towel under her two heat lamps (one is porcelain and the other a regular light) and her UV light. There are fake trees inside and she loves to get outside of the cage and sleep on top of it. Temperament: She eats greens from my hand; however, she can be moody. Some days she will close her eyes when I stroke her and other days she will try to nip at me. She adores my daughter and she can do anything with her but she is more reserved with me. Handling: She is stroked daily. I do peel her some when she's shedding and she's fine with that, overall. I carry her to the bathroom when she has to go to the bathroom.
