Looking for a new home since 7-9-08
Iguana name: Reno
Iguana age: approx 3yr
SVL: approx 1ft
STL: approx 2.25ft
Gender: Male
Reason for new needing a new home: Given as a gift 3 years ago. Have studied up on and taken good care of them, but I have not taken the time to tame them down. I would like them to go to a home that has more time for them or at least more space for them to hang out.
Vet care and health history: When I had first recieved the two iguanas, I built a large cage for them. The upper 1/3 was plexi glass and the bottom 2/3 was wire mesh. He would head bob against the mesh and rub his snout raw. It appears it rubbed it enough that when it healed, his bottom jaw now appears slightly shorter then the upper. He has no trouble eating.
Diet: A wide variety of fruits and veggies. Deffinitely loves peas and any other green vaggies. He is a fan of most other fruits and veggies as well, as long as they are cut up small.
Habitat and living conditions: He currently lives with the female that was aquired with him. They will chase each other off the highest landing occasionally but get along well. They have bred. They are currently in a 6'x4'x2' cage purchased from Cagesbydesign.com. There are 4 ledges and a sloping branch for them to climb on as well as a bin of water at the bottom for bathing. I had originally built them a large cage for outside, but the male would head bob against the wire screening and scrape his snout raw.
Temperament: They are both calm when alone. He usually becomes stressed and will jump off whatever ledge he is on to try and get away from you.
Handling: Approx once a week.
House broken: No
Anything included with iguana: no
Willing to ship iguana: no
Willing to pay for shipping: no
Other information: Pitures available upon request.
