GIS# 1971 Looking for a home since 9/19/08 Iguana name: Iggy Iguana age: 11 STL: 4.5 Gender: Unknown Reason for new needing a new home: Iggy was my son's iguana however he has graduated from college and moved on. I don't mind caring for Iggy but feel there is a better world out there for him. My husband and I take care of his basic needs but he need someone with more interest and time to interact with him. Vet care and health history: Iggy has never needed any veterinary care. He is active around the cage and eats well. His only health problem would be overweight due to a sedentary lifestyle. Diet: Iggy's diet consists of red or green romaine lettuce along with any other lettuce greens we have on hand combined with commercial Iguana chow. Fresh water often. Habitat and living conditions: Iggy lives in the largest dog cage currently available that has been adapted with a wire shelf for him to climb to and sit near the heat lamp. There are two heat rocks on the floor of the cage. The floor of the cage is layed with carpet that is replaced monthly. Temperament: Temperment seems to be calm. He has never been handled much so I do not know how he would react to that. Handling: None for the last 5-6 years. House broken: No Anything included with iguana: yes Included with iguana: The cage would be available along with his dishes and hot rocks. The day and night lamps are on timers and they would be available too. Willing to ship iguana: no Other information: I would prefer the adoptive person to transport by car.
